Amanpuri

Amanpuri is a great hotel but the brand and price point command very high expectations. We have stayed at 6 Aman properties around the world as well as many Ritz Reserves so that is the lens by which we judge the hotel. Plusses: 1. Beautiful property with well appointed rooms 2. Food was generally very tasty 3. Spa treatments were good 4. Staff were generally responsive and very friendly, in particular the restaurant wait staff. Our driver from the airport was also great and went out of his way to find a place where we could buy fruit. 5. Lucky a server in the restaurant went the extra mile and brought some green mangoes from her own garden and home made shrimp paste that my wife was craving. 6. Room service was very fast Areas needing work: 1. Central reservations are not great. They failed to connect us with anyone to plan our trip itinerary after booking outside of getting flight information. We were arriving in the morning and they tried to hard upsell us on booking an extra night which left a bad taste 2. There’s not much to do. We did a blessing at a temple which was nice though the temple very basic and visited the elephant sanctuary. 3. I asked for some specific fruit that my wife was craving. Initially they said they could get it but there would be an extra charge which i agreed to despite feeling when you are spending $2500 per night customising a fruit bowl should not be something ai am charged for. Ultimately they said they could only get one of the requested fruits and did not follow through.

One of the best resorts, amazing service beautiful terrain and the best beach in Phuket. As soon as u enter the property you will see one of the best landscaping every step of the way. We’ve been welcomed by the lovely hotel manager, my daughter was not feeling well so they took care of her immediately as soon as we stepped foot at the resort. Our room was not ready since we arrived very early in the morning so they managed to give us a room to relax in until our room was ready. Our pool pavilion villa was on the top surrounded by this beautiful landscape, however I must say the rooms are outdated and I feel it’s time for an immediate renovation. But it was still beautiful and very clean. The beach is for sure the best beach in Phuket. The service was excellent. My daughter loved the kids club, it had a lot to offer from rock climbing to jasmine bracelet making to many activities for children and kids of all age. We also managed to dine in all the restaurants, which were all excellent. I would definitely return back with my family.

Our family enjoyed our 3-night stay here, with great service, hospitality & attention from the resort staff. Our two villas were next to each other & secluded. The internal cab service was prompt & timely. The afternoon tea by the poolside was a good prelude to dinner. We were touched by the candle-light decoration for the private villa pool aide dinner and with the staff lining up to bid us farewell when we checked out.

Our magnificent stay at Amanpuri was a first class experience from start to finish. We stayed six nights in mid-December, 2024 as part of our wedding anniversary celebration. The spectacular location of this luxury hotel is on the Indian Ocean with soothing beaches and grounds that take one's breath away. Only a 45-minute drive from the Phuket International Airport, this seaside masterpiece incorporates the terrain and beautiful architecture to accentuate its idyllic setting. Our Pool Pavilion was exceptionally decorated with more amenities than one would expect even from a luxury resort. The private pool was huge and the outdoor space was a wonderful place for us to relax and enjoy each other’s company. While access to our room from the other parts of the resort required many stair steps, the tranquil surroundings took our breath away almost as much as the climb. For those so inclined, the buggy service to and from the main lobby is quick, efficient, and comfortable. The most impressive part of our stay with Amanpuri was the staff. These people were exceptionally friendly and helpful in every possible way. Simple touches like addressing us by our names and remembering our preferences made us feel pampered and appreciated. A few people on the staff of Manager Sea who really took care of our needs during the stay include Krit, Pop, K, Beer, and the entirety of reception personnel. We highly recommend Amanpuri to other travelers and plan on a return trip in the very near future.

My favorite place on the planet!!! The most amazing hotel in the world - definitely worthy of the 3 keys awarded to them. Architecturally stunning, set on the most beautifully maintained peninsula in Phuket, management has thought of every detail down to bringing in pristine sand to their private beach! Service is of the highest standards, well trained staff are always ready to help, oftentimes offering assistance, food, refreshments, and other thoughtful touches before being asked. Kids club (with skateboarding, DJ booths, wildlife station, climbing wall) always happy to keep young kids busy, beach activities perfect for teens, private kick booking ring with private coaching, massive state of the art techno gym, yoga and meditation, and the gorgeous spa all a short buggy ride away. Well done on recent restaurant upgrades, the one weak point before! Always have an amazing stay when there. The one place I feel wrapped in a warm cocoon of care and service at every step… love it so much we don’t even leave the property for days.
