Pleasant and relaxing stay

Centara is not new but ticks every possible aspect of a family destination. Relaxing environment , nice restaurant and more importantly semi private beach which is literally outside the pool area. You can't beat it , we stayed at another resort and had to pass through a busy road to get to beach which was very disappointing. You may need a super quick ride to karon center but that's less than 2kms. Lots of fresh options for breakfast everyday and multiple cousin choices per day based on restaurants you pick. Overall for a couple or family who want peace and relaxation i highly recommend.

Well worth it!

We have almost finished our time here and it’s been very good! The rooms are gorgeous, some with rather cold private pools and some with hot spas- we experienced both and they were equally good. Yes the hotel is a little dated but very well maintained with gorgeous pools and gardens and the sunsets are to die for! The food however at night is rather disappointing. I think they need to invest in better chefs who have more of an idea of Western cuisine. The Thai food though is very good as are the breakfasts. It is a little far out of Patong but taxis are readily available for 400 baht! We’ve had a really lovely time here and can thoroughly recommend it!

Wonderful holiday

We visited for 12 days, Jan 2025. The resort is lovely and all the staff that we interacted with were very friendly and welcoming and always happy to help. Our rooms were lovely and clean and housekeeping are very good! The adults only pool is perfect and the Ripples bar there is great. Special mention to the incredible barman Oh at Ripples pool bar, he deserves every wonderful recognition for his amazing personality and excellent work ethic. He went above and beyond during our stay here to make us feel welcome and he was always happy to see us. He never stops, he is always busy ensuring everyone is happy and always makes sure the pool area is clean and tidy. He always made time to talk to us and gave us great recommendations about the local area. He is an absolute credit to the Centara resort, a truly wonderful person and fantastic barman!

Unsatisfactory

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

I wanted to share our disappointing experience at this hotel in Phuket following our bad encounter at the Krabi branch. Despite the upscale nature of the property, check-in was a lengthy and unorganized process due to understaffing. Our room, located on the third floor, was outdated and in need of renovation. The unpleasant odor forced us to contact the hotel, who promptly provided a vaporizer that alleviated the issue. Dinner was equally disappointing, with cold and seemingly leftover food, save for the Thai tea and desserts. It's a shame that our expectations were not met at this supposedly high-end establishment.
