Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket

Its a lovely property with one of the best beach location we have been so far. The beach is extremely clean , non rocky and safe to swim. The property is very well maintained with extremely helpfull staff right from the reception , security , room service and restaurants .

This was my fourth visit to Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket. The rooms and the facilities have largely been renovated since five years ago while some staff remembered me! Benjarong is even better than Ruen Thai which was already outstanding, and the singer Dhonna's signature voice remains unchanged at Horizontal Lounge. Thanks for always providing me with genuine resort experience and I will absolutely come back for my next visit.

We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon and the hotel is very nice. However, we had a slight hiccup when we checked in. Upon arrival we were given a club room, which smelled very very musty/like a toilet block. This may be because of rain making the drainage smell bad. The staff kindly offered to move us to another club room on the same evening, which we did but upon waking in the morning the new room smelt bad again. The club room also seemed a little outdated (especially as our travel agent had arranged for us to pay more for a better room) and didn’t have the 5* appearance we expected. The manager kindly offered to upgrade us to a Dusit club suite. The new room really was a wow factor and there were no nasty smells. It also felt like the correct price point when we were upgraded and we were so grateful to be given this room. We only ate at the included breakfast, which was fantastic and probably the best breakfast we had in Thailand. There was lots of choice, although some of the food could be a little cold (seemed to be quite common on Thailand in general). The location was great, immediately on the beach and also with a great pool. We walked through the Laguna area to town for dinner on some evenings and on other evenings we walked along the beach to Bang Tao beach restaurants. The staff were also very helpful. Towels were included for the beach/pool which was great. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would love to see the club rooms updated in a similar style to the club suite.

We recently returned to the Dusit after a few years, and were so glad we did. The 'Lagoon Pool Villas' are a little slice of heaven! 3 floors, with a private pool overlooking the lagoon on top, and less than 100 steps from the beach. We relaxed the minute we walked in to be greeted like old friends. Fine 5-star hotel amenities, but with cheap beach bars, restaurants and massages just outside, and with all Canal Village's and Cherngtalay's outlets a few minutes shuttle-ride away, we were spoilt for choice. Can't recommend it highly enough!

We never experienced any of the issues that have been mentioned in other reviews. The hotel was clean and our room was great. We had a club room which was on the ground floor. The room also gave us an hour of free cocktails every evening. The best thing abut this hotel are the amazing staff who are always there to help you and always have a smile on their faces.
