The Naka Island Resort & Spa

Naka Island is an oasis of luxury and beauty with a staff and amenities that exceed expectations. My wife and I spent four (glorious) days with the folks at Naka Island and had a tremendous time. Our suite was incredible -- private pool, private beach, indoor/outdoor shower, sauna. The food was great at all the hotel's restaurants, but the real star is/was breakfast. What an experience! Buffet is off-the charts with a variety and range unlike any hotel we've ever encountered. Bars for eggs, crepes/pancakes, pho, juices, coffee. Just incredible. The gym is well appointed, and we appreciated the numerous (free) activities such as the sunset ceremony, cooking classes, coffee demonstrations and the daily ice cream cart. But the TRUE stars of the resort are its personnel. Without exception, everyone we met was helpful, friendly, kind, and engaged. The staff seeks to ensure its guests feel both appreciated and pampered and its shows in ways big and small. Special shout out here to Mia at the main restaurant, Bua with the concierge staff, and Sam in HR who was "just helping out" with the daily sunset ceremony. If it seems like we're raving, we are. It is well earned. A homerun!

From the moment you arrive, the hotel takes are of everything. You arrive at the lounge at the marina, where all the administration is done while you enjoy a drink. Then they take you on the 5-minute boat ride to the island, where a buggy and assistant awaits you. They'll drive you through the resort and then deliver you at your villa. We booked a Naka room, but got upgraded to a 1-bedroom Suite with private pool and garden view. Excellent and great way to spend time with our toddler. With your own pool, there is literally no reason to go anywhere else than your villa..if you wanted to. The villa's a great. Not that fancy, but a good size and clean! No AC in the bathrooms, but they say they are going to renovate starting next year and include AC in there. No problem for us, only a day visit to the loo could be heating up ;) Bumped into the GM (David) on a walk, who takes the time to talk to every guest. I have to say the staff were really special. Everywhere in Thailand you will mostly get fantastic service, but here they go above and beyond. Our little toddler soon made the rounds with every staff member, making sure she got here favourite drink without even having to ask. Special thank you to Bua and her team at the breakfast bar. The Z-Bar was our favourite spot on the resort.They have a sunset ceremony daily, but we mostly just relaxed on the couch. The team at the Z-Bar reserved our spot every night and were truly so kind. You can't have dinner at the Z-Bar, but on occasion we had a large lunch and then at some snacks which was more than sufficient. We really recommend walking to the local village. There is a 'restaurant' there, which costs maybe 50% compared to hotel prices and we had the best food experience in that restaurant. No ambience, tile floor, but just plain fantastic Thai food cooked by locals. We also walked to the beach on the other side of the island, go in the morning. During the afternoon the beach gets crowded with boat tours.

This was one truly relaxing and nice stay. we were pampered by the staff in an excellent facility, abundant and healthy breakfast, nice evenings in the restaurants. Fast and reliable Wifi. Every detail of the service is well balanced, people are trained and there is virtually no negative comment possible. Thank You, we will come again soon

Stunning Resort with tons to do, but the staff is the real star. Amazing, warm, friendly staff from the GM (David) to the golf cart driver. If in Phuket, this is the place to relax and enjoy or launch off and explore other islands (day trips available from resort dock - so easy)

The rooms are perfect, I had a sea view with a pool. The stuff is amazing, housekeeping team, concierge team, restaurant team. The services is awesome The food is delicious An forgettable stay from picking you up from the airport to get you back. A Luxury experience in the middle of nature
