Our 3rd stay at the Racha...it is still excellent. Management is doing a great job maintaining the property. Great stay for a couple wanting a romantic break from super busy Phuket. There are many day trippers / tours visiting the area between 10 am - 2 pm. We enjoyed the beach / swimming before 10 am + after 2 pm. The service + food were both very good.

I have booked for 7 days half sea view villa inc. breakfast .We arrived to Phuket airport and met Racha driver who took us to the pier for the speed boat transfer to the island. It was easy checkin Without waiting to be in. Best part of the resort is one of the best beach in Thailand especially the Color of the sea is turquoise crystal clear . Staff was very friendly helpful and did their best for pampering us during our stay. Yuyi,Su,Elizabeth , Theresa ,Porch st the Restaurants for dining and breakfast. Zai funny boy at the bar all did their best to serve us . House keeping was good always kept our room tidy.

The Racha is a stunning resort with impressive architecture and design, blending beautifully with the natural surroundings of Koh Racha Yai. The villas and overall layout create a serene and luxurious atmosphere, making it a truly special place to stay. The beach is an absolute dream—crystal-clear water and soft white sand. However, it's important to note that all beaches in Thailand are public, so in the first half of the day, it gets quite busy with day tourists from boat trips. That said, the staff does a great job ensuring hotel guests still find peace and quiet. While the breakfast was decent, it didn’t quite match the level of the JW Marriott Phuket, where we stayed before. On the other hand, dinner options were excellent, especially the Thai Kitchen restaurant right by the beach, which offered delicious food in a lovely setting. A real downside for us was that the sauna was out of order during our entire stay. As passionate sauna-goers, this was disappointing, although we made use of the steam room instead. Overall, The Racha is a fantastic place with breathtaking surroundings, but with a few areas for improvement. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

This hotel has a fantastic setting nestled amongst the trees on a lovely bay. Unfortunately I would not agree with its five star rating. Our room although spacious enough lacked the finishing touches. There was minimal storage space. A single sink with not much work top. The insulation between the two halves of the bungalow was terrible. We had to change rooms due to very noisy neighbours. On our first night we had no hot water. The staff at the water sports centre were very friendly and helpful. It’s a shame it wasn’t the same in the restaurants, with poor service. Although the setting over looking very bay should have been great it was spoiled by so many noisy and constant stream of day trippers to the bay. The only day it was “quiet “ was a day when they closed the best half of the bay due to a royal visitor. The problem with this was the huge excessive amount of intimidating security staff. The food wasn’t the best with an inedible Phad Thai. A real shame as the setting was great and the snorkelling of the beach really good

Based on all the reviews I had read, I was beyond excited to stay at The Racha!! In my mind it was something out of a movie.. it really looked that spectacular!! Unfortunately we were off to a bumpy start when our plane was delayed which caused us to be 30 mins too late to make the last shuttle to the island. I felt the resort didn’t communicate clear enough that if you don’t make it by 4pm there is NO OTHER WAY to get to the island other than to rent a private boat, which will cost you a fortune !! (I think we literally could have bought the boat ! lol) additionally, the price of the transfer kept “changing” which felt sketchy. (Also it’s cash only, which the didn’t tell us until the last minute and we didn’t have that massive amount of cash on us, so we had to find an ATM… exhausting considering we had literally been travelling since 6am) The lounge staff at Chalong pier were not super helpful, and it felt like they just wanted us out of there. We had no choice so we booked the private transport. This was additionally not a great experience, no life jackets and the boat was going to fast it was literally skipping over the water and we were bouncing around. When we got to the resort we were upset, this was not the luxury experience we were expecting. We tried to explain and asked to speak to a manager but there was a big communication issue as the staff had great difficulty with English, and there was no manager there. We emailed the senior management team to express our disappointment and went to see them the next morning to explain again. They did their best to make up for it, however seeing as we had planned a very short 2 night trip, it was hard. The good news is that the resort is phenomenally beautiful, and the beach rivals that of Turks and Caicos, its perfection!! Most of the staff tried hard to please, but there is definitely a language barrier. I would go back, as I now know the issue with the transfer to the resort. I hope the management team gets better at communicating this.
