Itzana Resort & Residences

A blend of modern facilities with Colonial and Caribbean vibes, which make the place really beautiful. The rooms are spacious with a great terrace (ours overlooked the pool). The infinity pool is stunning, surrounded by palm trees and gardens with birds, gibnuts and iguanas roaming free. The beach area is great too. The whole place is quiet too which felt like we had the place just for us. Food was good, although the continental breakfast included in the price was a bit basic and disappointing.

We had a fantastic time at It’zana. It’s such a beautiful property and the service was excellent. Mark, Janelle, JD, and Dwight quickly become our friends and made us feel so welcomed. We were celebrating our anniversary and we arrived to a nice welcome amenity in our room that made it even more special. After doing a lot of diving in the beginning of our trip, relaxing by the pool and beach at It’zana was just what we needed. We will definitely be back! Thanks to all the staff at It’zana!

Osmy at the bar is a true gem. He made us some amazing drinks and chatted with us about Belize. He curated the whole drink menu and was very knowledgable about our drinks. He made us a couple drinks off the menu and they were amazing. 11/10 would go back for a cocktail everyday

Beautiful resort with clean beaches and amenities. Lots of additional activities. Everyone was helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend to everyone.

Hotel setting is lovely - beautiful beach and grounds; loved the beach games and water sport equipment available. The villa was also very well laid out, especially for a group, but ultimately it was hard to justify the cost with the service and issues that arose. Biggest problem was that our hot water did not work every day of the trip. They would send someone to “fix” it and just seemed like they spent a lot of time tinkering without actually addressing the issue - general vibe from staff was they just could not be bothered to properly fix it. WiFi also did not work in the villa except in the kitchen - not a huge deal when you want to spend most time on the beach, but tough because cell service was also really poor. Lastly, highly recommend avoiding the hotel restaurant - poor quality, poor service and overpriced; lots of good spots walking or in town. That said, they have a pizza oven at the pool and the pizzas were quite good for daytime nosh! The setting is quite beautiful with lots of potential for the hotel, but service and quality lag especially when they are charging the nightly rates that they do.
