About the Hotel

Andaz Mayakoba is a luxury boutique hotel from Hyatt group located just minutes north of downtown Playa del Carmen, the hotel offers easy access to this popular town while also ensuring quiet retreat is never far away, that because Andaz Mayakoba is not a mega resort. The hotel is split up into two sections: Beach & Lagoon, and the distance between these two areas is surprising as they are a mile apart. For that reason, there are many bicycles that guests can use to ride around and there is always a golf cart around providing transportation. Four unique restaurants offer distinguished culinary experiences for which Andaz hotels are known. Inside, the guest rooms and suites are inspired by nature, with breezy open layouts flooded with natural light, and filled with refined artisanal décor. Local artworks adorn the walls, while complimentary Wi-Fi Internet keeps guests up to date.

Reviews for Andaz Mayakoba Resort Riviera Maya

Terrible food, great staff.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

The staff here is incredible, and the rooms and beach lovely. I seriously cannot stress enough how great the staff is, which makes me feel really horrible to have to give this review. The food is absolutely disgusting. So bad. We have never skipped meals on vacation... it was so bad. Not andaz/hyatt quality at all. Horrific. Sad. Think awful airport food. the lounge food at the airport was actually much better, so much so that I cried multiple times embarrassed for having booked this holiday.

Our happy place.

Easily one of the best destinations in all of Mexico. We will be regulars there for as long as we can be. The perfect blend of relaxation, nature, ambiance, weather, beauty, and activities. Once you are in Mayakoba you do not need to leave and especially once you visit Andaz you definitely do not need to or want to leave. Isa our butler/concierge was wonderful. Antonio and Jose from the beach service team are amazing. Raphael our driver was also wonderful. Everyone we encountered or dealt with throughout our stay was exceptional. Not a bad thing that we can think of about the resort, the staff, the food, the property. 10/10

Anniversary trip

The resort was great we loved all the different restaurants and riding the bikes around the property. Nature trail is really nice, make sure you sign up for the boat tour a great way to see the property. We also played golf on the course affiliated with the resort, very easy to coordinate and transportation was provided.

Amazing place, very beautiful

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

It was one of the best properties I've stayed. Excellent service and a very beautiful place. Very good option for families. It's a 20 min drive from 5ta avenida and 25 min drive from xcaret Park. We went on dia de los muertos and the decorations in the lobby where a really nice touch. It also has a big water hole with an opening on the roof that resembles a cenote. Dining options are excellent, and in room dining is really fast. We had a lagoon view room and it's was really relaxing. Since the property is so big, there's gold carts that can take you from one place to the other and also free bicycles that can be used to move about. Totally recommended!!!

The complete resort experience.

The resort is well managed and professional. The staff is friendly and dedicated to providing every service and assistance you could expect and hope for. It would be difficult to find anything to criticize or complain about. Their survey asked what they could do to improve- I had nothing I could suggest as everything was as I hoped or wanted.
