Andaz Mayakoba is a luxury boutique hotel from Hyatt group located just minutes north of downtown Playa del Carmen, the hotel offers easy access to this popular town while also ensuring quiet retreat is never far away, that because Andaz Mayakoba is not a mega resort. The hotel is split up into two sections: Beach & Lagoon, and the distance between these two areas is surprising as they are a mile apart. For that reason, there are many bicycles that guests can use to ride around and there is always a golf cart around providing transportation. Four unique restaurants offer distinguished culinary experiences for which Andaz hotels are known. Inside, the guest rooms and suites are inspired by nature, with breezy open layouts flooded with natural light, and filled with refined artisanal décor. Local artworks adorn the walls, while complimentary Wi-Fi Internet keeps guests up to date.

Very relaxing resort away from the noise of Cancun. We stayed on the lagoon side which had two pools (one heated) and 2 of the restaurants. We did the breakfast boat tour, the cenote, and pueblito for our activities and loved all of them. Everyone was great, really good vibe.

Great property! Beach is amazing and the food is great. Really cool being able to use the bikes to get around the property and explore Mayakoba. Having access to the other resorts is def a huge plus as well. Absolutely loved the boat tour. The only off thing about the hotel is the lagoon pool, it’s a beautiful pool…but seems to lack any attention from the staff and fresh towels were hard to come by. One of the pools is heated, which was awesome but heat portion of the pool got up to 110 degrees (my Apple Watch told me) also it seemed to be closed in evening, which is a perfect time to use it. Other than that the resort is awesome and the staff is great.

Our All-Inclusive stay was the best experience ever. The entire staff throughout the property were professional and very receptive to all our needs. We had a room overlooking the lagoon. It was a very peaceful environment with a balcony with the view of the lagoon. The resort has 4 restaurants and they all offer delicious food. The soft white sandy beach is great for lounging. They have golf carts to get you around the large property. The lagoon tour is recommended as you can see wildlife and other resorts as part of the tour. Overall, a great experience.

Mayakoba is a beautiful property with a Rosewood, Fairmont, Banyan Tree hotel...and a world class golf course. The Andaz was absolutely completely disappointing. We had three meals there, and they were without doubt, some of the worst food we've had in many trips to Mexico. The service throughout was hit and miss, and overall, a hotel I would not recommend.

We had a terrific time at the Andaz Mayakoba. The lagoon view room was spacious and well appointed. Golf carts were readily available to take us to the beach. We had an all inclusive package that provided outstanding meals at the four restaurants that we visited. Sotavento was right on the beach and we enjoyed flame grilled steak, oysters, lobster tail and salmon with our feet in the sand. Casa Amate was beautiful and we loved the filet mignon and Caribbean soup; that was the most outstanding meal that we had. Tinta del Pulpo offered some the best shrimp and steak tacos that we have ever had. Breakfasts at the nearby Cocina Milagro were plentifully and varied, with delicious pastries and hand made omelets. We even took a golf cart to Saffron at the nearby Banyan Tree (not included in the package) for delicious Thai food and a beautiful lagoon view. The package included lunches, room service and tropical drinks at the beach that we took good advantage of. Make sure that you take the complimentary boat ride around the lagoon to see all four properties at Mayakoba. We’d like to come back in a beach view room next time. All in all, we had a delicious and relaxing experience at a well run hotel at a reasonable cost. Five stars!
