Maroma, A Belmond Hotel, Riviera Maya

Perfect beach vacation for my wife and me. Incredible service and quiet spaces to relax and enjoy the beaches and pool.

The staff warmly welcomed us upon arrival. The room was exquisitely appointed rooms. The attention to little details in the room. The slippers, the caftans, the interesting books, the tiled sinks, the luxury products, the Mexican inspiration. The delicious and timely coffee service. The fitness center equipped with a massage therapist, good equipment, snacks and cold towels. The breakfast service where homemade tortillas are abundant, the fruit is plentiful, the pastry basket is different each day and the pour over coffee is a cultural experience. The wooden carved lounge chairs with comfortable cushions, chairs for all the guests, and beach attendants who are ready to take care of your every need. The surprise of daily cocktails, fresh fruit, cooling mist or sorbet. The beautiful well-maintained beach and grounds. The spa with it's welcoming staff, well trained therapists, hot pool, and well stocked clean locker room. The fantastic, interesting, beautiful and delicious dinners at both restaurants. One day two employees said when we had a request, "Anything is possible!" The sommelier who guided us through the wines of Mexico. The bartender making interesting and unique cocktails. Our list could go on and on... What we know is that everyone wanted to make sure our week at Maroma was special. Each staff member was there to provide a service, and it is obvious they are very proud of their work and their country.

Our stay at Maroma far exceeded our expectations on every level! The accommodations, service and experience were superb beyond any stay I’ve encountered. The service was perfectly suited to my husband, adult daughter and myself because it was attentive but not smothering which can be a difficult balance in a fine resort such as this. The food and restaurant experiences we had were truly world class. I’d highly recommend the Maroma hands down!

The Belmond Maroma exceeded all expectations for our annual girls trip for the long weekend. The beach was calm and clean, the spa was well appointed and allowed for daily use of the hydrotherapy, the boutique was well curated with local Mexican artisans, and the food was creative and tasty. But the biggest compliment to the property was the staff. The level of service was on par with what I have received at top luxury hotels in Europe. Servers learned and remembered our names, our likes and dislikes, and they always followed up on every request, even if the answer had to be no. I recommend the made in front of you breakfast tamales, a run or bike through the ( on property) jungle, a swim suit from the shop, and a dip in the spa cold plunge. The Maroma gives you no reason to leave for the duration of your stay. We cant wait to return.

My wife and I had a wonderful four days at Maroma. We returned after visiting 20 years ago. The highlight of our experience was the wonderful staff and their attentiveness to making sure their guests have a wonderful experience.
