The amount of love and attention to details that went into creating the experience at Palmaia House of Aia is clear from the moment you check in. The food, the accommodations, the spa, the surroundings are just perfect. There are many beautiful resorts from Cancun to playa del Carmen, but the beauty is only one aspect of what makes this spot magical. The care for the guests, the rituals and ceremonies and of course the people, are what keeps me going back to the same place year after year.

Amazing experience at PalmAiA.. The whole staff was exquisite. It was like visiting family, in the best way. Can’t wait to go back. This is my fourth year going and it gets better every year; from the comfort of the rooms to the beach staff to the restaurant staff…Everything is a 10 out of 10.

Someone divined exactly what I needed in a retreat/vacation paradise. The property and accommodations are beautiful! The people are amazing, and many have been with the resort since it launched. The programming incorporates Mayan and regional traditions along with variety of spiritual, mental, physical, social, and environmental health. The plant forward meal service is delicious. The restaurants delighted our vegan, celiac (gluten free), and carnivores with ease. As the token non-drinking vegan, I loved trusting that the food and drinks were vegan, wholesome, and healthful. Portions range from light to heavy. The waitstaff know the menu and skillfully guided us to meet our appetites and preferences. The fresh juices are so nourishing. Try a variety of them. The spa was spectacular. I almost opted out of the spa because the grounds and included programming were so lush. But I opted for a massage to help me shift gears. The lobby, treatment rooms take advantage of the peace and beauty of the jungle. I felt deeply nourished by the rituals before the treatment. They were worth the price l f admission on their own. I was skeptical about the cost and value of this resort. However, after one trip, I am converted. Palmaia is a unique environment where all things (staff, design, food, nature, movement, community, culture) converge to nourish, heal, and nudge one further along the path to healthy. I can't wait to return to the tranquil soulful beauty of the resort. Until.I do, I will savor.the images, feelings, people, and flavors that are imprinted in my my heart and mind.

Palmaia is INCREDIBLE!! There is so much to say - the food is amazing, the decor and design is stunning and the service is wonderful. Eduardo from Mar de Olivo made my last night so wonderful - my favorite restaurant and server! This is my new slice of heaven and I will for sure be back. Take a trip, you won’t regret it.

Generally excellent. Absolutely beautiful setting, tastefully designed, and being a vegan resort, it tends to be quieter and more 'zen' than anything you'd find at other resorts. The food is generally quite good with some unusual flavors, but it's very colorful and fresh which is appreciated. On the whole we had a great experience with the staff who were warm and friendly...Eduardo at the mediterranean restaurant was great fun. One exception however existed and this was an unpleasant encounter with a member of staff at the spa. I wanted to take a dip in the cenote after my treatment and a staff member was hovering right beside me. When I asked if he had to stay to 'supervise' me, there was a language barrier. I didn't speak Spanish and his English was limited. When he asked another staff member for help translating, she told me that the staff member didn't speak much English, and that I should learn to speak Spanish. When I told her that I only spoke English and French, she told me, quite unpleasantly, that I wasn't in France, but in Mexico, therefore I should speak Spanish. I understand that it must be frustrating with so many Americans coming that don't speak the language, but without us, there would be no tourism in the area - or at least, not enough to sustain a resort, let alone the number that exists here. I suspect that the frustration had more to do with the current US administration and her feelings regarding the border situation/tariffs. Nonetheless, it turned an otherwise lovely experience at the spa into something that left me with a sour taste in my mouth.
