Stayed in 103A. I was traveling for work and also brought my young kids. I thought this unit was great. It was perfect being on the ground floor with young kids- they got to run around on the lanai and watch the waves. The unit had full AC in all the rooms. Our TV didn't work well, but we weren't really planning to watch TV. Beds were comfortable, washer/dryer in the unit. About 5-10min walk to Poipu and Baby Beach which is good for young kids. Parking lot is a bit small and narrow. The pool has a great view but isn't very big. I've stayed at the Grand Hyatt and this condo has more room when traveling as a family, better views, and more overall space for a better cost so I'd give it a thumbs up.

Koloa Kai Vacation Rentals were very good with their communication. The unit had an A/C unit in the living room and both bedrooms. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. The best part is the view right outside the room. INCREDIBLE! The waves crash against the wall right outside the room and, with just a few steps, you can see Poipu Beach. It's literally about a 5 minute walks through the gate that is also just outside the room. Near the entrance to the room are grills that are available to cook (and we did). Plus the condo is within walking distance of Shipwreck Beach. But the short distance to Poipu Beach Park is wonderful; a great place to body surf, snorkel, see a monk seal and sea turtles. Then get a Puka Dog while you're there. I can't say enough good things about this place. It was perfect.

My family and I spent a week at Poipu Shores in unit 302B. Starting with the property, the pool was clean, warm and had plenty of tables and chairs for the guests. The hut is a neat place to sit covered and enjoy the stunning ocean views. The property management company was very responsive and helpful. The condo was exactly as pictured, the kitchen had everything that you would need to cook in the unit or at the grills onsite. the beds were extremely comfortable and the in room A/C kept us cool at night. I would highly recommend this property and unit to one and all.

After reading reviews on unit 205A, I contacted Cynthia @ bestbeachhouses.com. She was very responsive to my inquiries & excellent in future communications. The condo was extremely comfortable and fully stocked with goodies (including Hawaiian coffee & a bag of cookies as a welcome gift). Great views from the lanai, from whales & turtles to crashing waves and sunsets. Location! Location! Location! Easy walk to Poipu beach & restaurants. We drove to the Sheraton for their beachside luau one night and ubered to Keokis Paradise for a tropical dinner on another night. Could not get a late checkout because of incoming renters, so had to leave at 10:00 a.m. Since our flight wasn't until 11:00 p.m., we spoiled ourselves with a cabana and day pool pass at the nearby Grand Hyatt Resort. The Poipu Shores pool was perfect and enjoyable during our stay, however the Hyatt's pool is the largest in the U.S.A. It was a fabulous last day experience to float the lazy river, walk in the lagoon pool, and watch surfers on Shipwreck Beach. (The beach is adjacent to the resort, but open for the public). Pool is open 24hrs, so we stayed for dinner then got into travel clothes, drove 30 minutes to Lihue airport and took our long red-eye flight back to the states. (There was so much to do in Kauai just be sure to book dining and excursions well in advance.). Again ... Poipu Shores was the perfect central location for site-seeing in Kauai.

First of all, just know these are owned Condos - you can get a better rate from the owners - although after reading this review, if you decide to stay there, you will get what you deserve. Secondly, these units DO NOT HAVE Airconditioning. What modern facility does not have A/C??? They hide it. Then you get there and sweat for days on end. No room cleaning/sheet change service "due to covid" however pest control will be in your room tomorrow. (lol) This place is a 3rd world resort at best. Toilet didn't flush for 3 days. It costs nothing to be clean...yet our room was a pit from beginning to end. When I asked for new towels after a week, no response. After sweating in the bed for over a week (no A/C as mentioned) I asked for sheet change...no can do. At one point the other couple moved their mattress onto the outside deck to escape the heat...yep third world. NO NOT STAY HERE.
