The Heathman Hotel Portland is one of only 30 hotels in the world to enjoy a four-diamond rating for 27 consecutive years. And that’s not the only reason why a stay here is memorable. Bright, eclectic rooms compliment an art collection that includes Henk Pender and Andy Warhol, and a cozy lending library stocks signed editions by authors who have stayed there – more than 2,500 titles to date, all available to be delivered to your bedside. A recent landfill-free “green” renovation makes this pet-friendly hotel one of the best environmental options in Portland.

The hotel is a nice hotel and great location. The reason for the mediocre score…… they don’t service the rooms unless you ask, and they don’t tell you that at the beginning. I don’t mind so much that but I do mind staying in a suite and having to make a call just to get toilet paper.

Nice classic hotel in downtown Portland. It was rainy when we visited and the hotel provided nice big umbrellas and was also very hospitable in recommending nearby spots. The room was small but had everything we needed for a night in the city.

Had a very brief stay. Just a hot shower and couple hours of sleep. However brief my stay was, it was impossible not to notice the cleanliness and attention to details, they far exceeded my expectations. Overall, highly impressed. Includes reception staff and all other staff behind the scenes, which are the arteries of a hotel ran in a way that makes you feel comfortable and at home. The experience was exceptional and superb. Would gladly stay at Heathman Hotel the next time an opportunity presents itself to be in Portland

Top notch, friendly service. It was my bday and everyone made it so special. Room upgrade, late checkout, wait staff soooooo nice and attentive. Room service was easy and quick! Everyone was so nice! Room big and clean. Check in and check out was quick and easy. The hotel is very secure and as a single girl I never felt unsafe. I read everyone else’s reviews before coming and already knew they don’t have smart tvs so I came prepared with my iPad if I couldn’t find something to watch. The tv was huge so that was nice. Beautiful view of downtown. The service at the Tavern was amazing. Attentive, kind, helpful, friendly.

Good stay at the Heathman for 2 nights in March 25. Originally in a queen but wasn’t keen on it as near elevator and noisy so upgraded to a king for $20 a night which we thought was reasonable. Room very clean, spacious. Bathroom very small and is awkward to be honest but doubt the hotel could easily change this without further refurb. Towels clean, good shower products available. Only thing is we didn’t know or weren’t made aware that housekeeping doesn’t come unless requested. However, reception kindly got someone to empty the bin and provide fresh towels. Worth clarifying on check in the process. Excellent breakfast. We couldn’t fault it. The server did an excellent job on her own as it was busy. The library was cool but lacked a bit of atmosphere on an evening but not hotels fault! Reception staff very helpful but they did confuse our fees so just check this at the end of your stay. Overall good stay!
