The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland

Great Place to stay! Both restaurant options are magnificent! Urban Farmer and Departure are very different from each other but equally delicious. JD in Security was super helpful (I left my laptop in room safe and he secured it and sent it back to me). I will definitely be back and Thank You JD!!

Beautiful hotel with excellent rooms, service, and a fantastic wine selection. During my stay, I also visited the rooftop restaurant at night, and the view was incredible—I fully recommend it. I would also like to personally congratulate Cruz, a member of the hotel staff, for her helpfulness and efficiency when I needed assistance.

The hotel was well appointed in every way. The location was amazing, the restaurant was really tasty but it was the staff that really sealed the deal. From the time we arrived we were greeted and welcomed to the hotel. I worked closely with the concierge Cruz Malochwiej to curate my trip to Portland and she was beyond amazing. She learned it was our wedding anniversary celebration weekend and had champagne and flowers delivered to our room and made sure that all do the restaurants she booked for us knew it was our anniversary. The service was so nice and something these days that is hard to find. We will definitely be staying at The Nines when we return in a few months.

We stayed at The Nines for 3 nights with our Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts program. With that program, we got a $100 food credit, $60 per person per day breakfast credit, and guatanteed late checkout. The experience at The Nines was amazing. It started out pre-arrival when Cruz Malochwiej, Concierge, reached out directly via email about 2 weeks before our trip to help us plan anything extra for our trip. Extras suggested were dinner reservations, tour guides, in room massage, etc as well as information gathered like what guests were coming, purpose of our stay etc. We took advantage of booking private transportation from the airport, which was perfect after a long travel day, and booking in-room massages, a great way to start a vacation! Cruz even went above and beyond by providing a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries in our room on arrival to help us celebrate our anniversary. Our corner suite was a perfect size with a lovely view of downtown. The bed was very comfortable and our bathroom was well appointed with a shower that had good water pressure. We dined at Departure, getting the chef's tasting menu, which was a fun experience. The hotel is ideally located centrally in downtown, close to many food carts and shopping. We highly recommend The Nines and would stay there again if we find ourselves in Portland!
