We stayed at The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland, and I absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic—Muji and Sephora are right next door, and the Apple Store is less than a 5-minute walk away. Whenever I visit Portland, this hotel is always my top choice. The only downside is that the hotel only offers valet parking, which costs $65 per day. If you prefer self-parking, you’ll need to park at a nearby public lot instead.

We had a lovely time at The Nines! The room was quiet and comfortable and had fun design touches. Everyone on the staff was friendly and helpful, including the valet staff, restaurant servers, and front desk. Concierge Cruz was great; she helped arrange for birthday decorations and treats for my child that were waiting in the room when we arrived. We also enjoyed the library, which has board games and books you can use while you’re there, as well as a pool table. We would definitely come back!

The front desk staff on this trip- Michael, Marisa, Anandi (who has taken care of me on every one of my stays) Janessa. Kimberly, Sam, Beau , Christina on earlier trips_ And then there are the bellmen: Paul Scott (thank you for help with my tire) Mike Porter, Nick Fugel, Jason Blackman Scott Sakai, Matt Niemi, and Scott Sakai- thank you for remembering me trip to trip, greeting me with warmth, kindness and a high degree of. professionalism. Anyone wanting good service at a hotel in Portland Oregon will find it here.

After checkout, we could not find our iPad. We called Nines, and the lost and found team was very understanding and helpful. They did a thorough search of our room. They did not find it, but we were able to eliminate our room as a possible location of loss. In general, the room was excellent in every respect. The restaurant for breakfast was superb. Service at every level was polished. The property is lovely with a beautiful location next to Pioneer Square.

The hotel is wonderful, and staff are super welcoming. Above all though my kids always want to come back to this hotel for the welcome mocktail on fridays. Clint knocks it out of the park. It’s the little things that make this place great and we keep coming back.
