My wife and I can't say enough good things about this hotel. This place is beyond beautiful. The lobby of this hotel is filled with original art work, and interesting sculptures. Because of the credit card company we have, we had a lot of really wonderful upgrades and additional benefits during our weekend. When we got to our room, our breath was taken away by how modern, beautiful, and cozy our room was. We had a large plush bed with fluffy bedding, turquoise colored couch and chairs, marble tables, sparkling chandelier and a fully stocked mini fridge. This hotel also offers room service breakfast and coffee that we took advantage of throughout the weekend. Their restaurant on site was also top notch with food and drinks. All and in all, this place was beyond amazing and we would for sure stay again.

Wonderful experience! Great spot to see the resurgent downtown Portland. From the concierge Cruz's helping get flowers, chocolates and cider for the room for our celebration, to the room itself and breakfast, we had a great time and will certainly return!

The Nines is a beautiful hotel with a a wonderful staff and beautiful rooms. My wife and I stayed here for two nights as part of her annual company celebration and every member of their staff was wonderful. So, why only 3 out of 5? We had a suite on the 7th floor on the north side of the building, which happened to be directly above a Max (Portland's commuter train) line. You could hear the train throughout the night, basically every 30-45 minutes. So, no sleep either night. I've stayed in numerous Hampton Inns near airports or major highways that were significantly better soundproofed. It might be better if you have a higher floor or are on a different side of the building, but I can't give 5 stars to a 5 star hotel where I couldn't catch a wink.

This hotel was not “luxury” to me and my stay was average. The bathroom was disgusting with a dirty grout and glass shower door and when I looked up at the vent I couldn’t believe how much it was covered in dirt and dust. I’ve stayed here once before but I will not be staying here again.

We stayed at The Nines, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Portland, and I absolutely loved it. The location is fantastic—Muji and Sephora are right next door, and the Apple Store is less than a 5-minute walk away. Whenever I visit Portland, this hotel is always my top choice. The only downside is that the hotel only offers valet parking, which costs $65 per day. If you prefer self-parking, you’ll need to park at a nearby public lot instead.
