Beautiful hotel and best location in Porto!
We booked a room at the Intercontinental Hotel in Porto for a last minute trip to Portugal. The hotel is beautiful and the location on Liberty Square could not be beat. Room was extremely comfortable. Just beware that there is ongoing construction right in front of the hotel for the metro expansion. Did not bother us noise-wise but was a slight distraction on the view. Staff was very helpful. Would stay here again!

Awesome stay- great service, location and staff are what makes Intercontinental PORTO the place to stay at when in Porto.We had a excellent experience right from Bruno who checked us in and was patient with our room requests to Diogo Vieira who was awesome with our requests and checkout, the concierge team who helped plan the perfect itinerary for the limited time we had and the great service and breakfast at Astoria restaurant I have been in the hotel business for 20+ years and must say this stay was amongst the top ones Well done IC Porto team!!!

Amazing Hotel with Great Hospitality
By far the best hotel I’ve stayed at so far! From the accommodations to the location, Intercontinental is the perfect hotel to stay at in Porto. We were greeted with pastel de natas and a bottle of port and the front office was so amazing in providing recommendations and welcoming us in. We also had the opportunity to dine inside Astoria for breakfast and dinner, the food was fresh and options were plentiful for the breakfast buffet. You are basically in downtown Porto and a quick walk to so many tourist attractions. I would definitely return to this hotel the next time I am back in town!

a "five star hotel" with no security at all.... never again
a total disaster.... we had just arrived and were having cocktails before dinner in the hotel bar - my wife just turned her head and her purse was gone.... - OK, this could happen anywhere, but we asked the front desk for help, and they replied that we had to go to the police, they do not have any security in the hotel, and in any case, it would take days before the police did anything.... they were quite despondent, zero sympathy, no help at all - never again we go to an IHG hotel.... avoid it at all costs....
