This is a wonderful property a short walk from several Christmas markets, which is the reason we were visiting Prague. It is a boutique hotel, so it lacks some amenities like doormen. But it is charming, has friendly staff and a wonderful soft drink & coffee bar in the lobby. It also has some significant problems handling check in and check out. There is Much to like about Andaz. The bar staff makes great craft cocktails. The spa has a steam and sauna (complimentary). The rooms have towel warmers and heated floors in the bathrooms. Nespresso, tea, water and soft drinks are complimentary in the rooms. But first impressions matter and we were not impressed. We checked in as part of a large group on a prearranged tour shortly after 4:00pm. About 1/3 of our rooms were not ready, including ours. To her credit, the manager had us wait in the lounge with complimentary wine and beer until our rooms were ready. In our case, that was about 5:00pm. Others waited longer. It was after 7:00pm before our luggage made it to our room. The manager blamed late checkouts for the delay. Unfortunately, it tainted what would have been a wonderful three night stay. Your experience might be different, if you are not traveling with a large group. I don’t know. Just be prepared to show patience. You will be rewarded with a wonderful experience.

Beautiful hotel situated in a quiet area a short walk from the main square. The hotel is renovated to an extremely high standard. Delicious breakfast with great choice, both buffet and a la carte. Friendly efficient staff who cannot do enough to make your stay memorable. The rooms are decorated very tastefully, although we would recommend to ask for a room on the opposite side to the trams. We will definitely stay at the Andaz again on our return trips to Prague.

The hotel is in an excellent position within easy reach of the old town. There are good restaurants nearby too. Good breakfast choices are available which are freshly cooked. Would definitely use this hotel again. Staff were very helpful.

Great atmosphere, great food, amazing decor and the room was so classy. I have stayed at a number of hotels in Prague and by far for me this is the best combination action of class and value. So many cool and unique places to sit and meet with people and also the room was very impressive. Free minibar in the room with great range of hot drinks too. I’m very impressed with the quality you get for the price.

The Andaz is a beautiful hotel with friendly and helpful and accomodating staff. The hotel is relatively new. It’s in a perfect location - close to old town but the location is not as busy. They incorporated traditions of Prague into the modern decor (lions/horses/figures are sculpted into the walls). They offer a free mini bar (soft drinks) which is lovely. A couple of negatives. We stayed in room 206 on the side where the streetcar is and every time the street car went by, the room rumbled. I’m not sure it went by all night, but I did hear it at 5 am. I’d request a room on the other side of the hotel. Also, there were a couple of tour groups in the hotel. Hordes of people would gather in the bar/lobby, etc, and while they were there, the staff would be overwhelmed, which is a bit of a drawback. Overall, highly recommended.
