Beautiful historic hotel in centre of Prague
Amazing hotel couldn’t fault it would definitely stay again . A big fat thank you to all the staff but for 3 who stood out Mona Zdenda and Riski they went the extra mile to help us and were so friendly but professional, you don’t want to lose those guys

Beautiful hotel in prime location
Firstly the location is excellent, right near to the old town square and clock. The rooms are all different and we had 2 junior suites. Room 517 was near a side street so some road noise but had a beautiful big bed and bath/shower combo. Room 102 had a big 4 poster bed and jacuzzi bath, but only a hand held shower and a window into the central courtyard. You feel like you’re staying in a castle or English stately home and if that’s your thing, you’ll love it. We didn’t eat there as there are lots of places to eat all around but we did have a lovely evening in the bar playing cards, which was very relaxing after a days sight seeing. The only even better if - milk in the rooms for hot drinks - we had to request every day and then only got 2 or 3 tiny pots of cream. Overall, absolutely loved it.

Needs updating
Hardly a 4 or 5 star hotel. It was clean, rooms were very dark, not a lot of light provided. In dire need of updating to the rooms unless chipped tile, chipped paint, leaking faucets and dark and dingy is your thing. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I've ever slept on, I may as well have slept on the floor. The pillows were like bags of cement. Hardly able to get a good nights sleep. Supposed to be a non smoking hotel but people were smoking in the courtyard.

Beautiful hotel in Prime location.
Beautiful hotel in Prime location. Myself, husband and adult son stayed here for 3 nights mid October. Hotel is just stunning, from the beautiful bedrooms and court yard to the breathtaking reception. Hotel staff were friendly and approachable. Hotel is literally 5 minute walk into old town. The location is just excellent. 20 minutes from airport in Airport Ubers which are right outside of airport cost - £22. Breakfast was basic but plentiful. We all really enjoyed our stay, would return and would highly recommend.

BLATANT THEFT AND SCAM!
Absolutely appalled by the audacity of Iron Gate Hotel. They initially gave us a complimentary upgrade to a deluxe suite, which seemed nice until the real motive showed up. Three hours after we checked out, they CHARGED US 500 EUROS ON THE CARD WITHOUT ANY NOTICE, claiming we broke a statue that we didn’t even touch! Usually, hotels inspect rooms while guests are still around, but this hotel decided to pull a fast one after we were long gone. What’s even worse is that this so-called ‘statue’ is available for just 200 euros on some websites! This is nothing but blatant robbery with zero proof to back their claims. We are NOT THE FIRST ONES TO EXPERIENCE THIS either; plenty of other guests have left reviews stating the same SCAMMY BEHAVIOUR AND BASELESS CHARGES POST CHECK-OUT. Stay away from this place if you don’t want to be taken advantage of by these sly thieves. It is always better to stay at known hotel chains in this part of the world to avoid instances like these. Where is the proof that this was not housekeeping’s mistake while cleaning on all the 3 days that we were there ?? PRO TIP if you still decide to stay here: Check the rooms thoroughly before check-in (they have a LOT of show-pieces that they could easily charge you on) and always get cleaning done before your own eyes!
