Very fine resort. You feel secluded and the staff is friendly and helpful. Nice beach which is cleaned daily of debris. Relationships with the local excursions and able to give you advice and help. The restaurant is fantastic. Avoid the sports bar for anything more than drinks tho.

Wondering how soon we can return

Our stay was amazing (as always). The staff is phenomenal and the property is well maintained and top notch. We loved every moment and can’t wait to return to our home away from home. A very special thank you for making our son’s birthday so memorable.

Recap of stay

Always a great place to come. Disappointed with location of the two bedroom we rented especially since there were only a few units occupied. The pool bar and restaurant were very nice as always but could Not charge to your room. Makes no sense. Beach guys were great.

The MOST caring staff!!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

It is hard for me to put into words just how amazing the staff at Somerset were to me & my family during our most recent visit, in June. This was our 3rd stay at Somerset (15th visit to TCI). We have booked the same room all 3 times (Stirling 403, the 2 bedroom penthouse) because it is AMAZING, with its rooftop terrace & jacuzzi. (Please see my previous, very lengthy & thorough reviews for all of the details). One of our absolute favorite things to do is relax in the rooftop jacuzzi in the evenings while taking in the 360 degree views of the island, watching for shooting stars, fireworks, & lightning off in the distance. It is also the best place to watch the sun set on another glorious day in paradise & eat dinner together at the rooftop table. We have made some amazing memories there. This trip was our worst, however, due to a life-altering jet ski accident I suffered on the 5th day of our 10 day vacation. (I broke 6-7 bones in my right ankle / foot / leg & required surgery upon returning home. I now have 6 screws in my ankle/leg, a rod in my fibula, & suture buttons securing my ankle’s ligaments. I won’t be able to walk or drive for months). The hospital in TCI instructed me to keep my leg completely immobilized for the rest of our stay, which meant I could no longer go in the pool or ocean (or up the stairs to access our beloved rooftop terrace). 😢 Our vacation was essentially over at that point. I wasn’t sure how I was going to manage 5 more days trying to navigate on crutches. BUT…. Somerset staff to the rescue! Immediately upon returning to Somerset from the hospital, the caring staff swooped in to help me. JOHNSON went to get me a wheelchair that they graciously allowed me to use for the remainder of our stay (this was an absolute life saver for me, & I am beyond grateful that they had this!), & BERRY thoughtfully brought me a chair to sit on while we waited for the wheelchair to arrive. For the next 5 days, I mainly hung out in our room, watching the beautiful turquoise water from our couch (longing to be in it, instead of merely looking at it). Thanks to the wheelchair, though, I was able to at least go to breakfast every day. I was unable to sit at the usual breakfast tables (on the covered patio) because the tables were too low to allow the wheelchair to fit underneath. The tables inside the restaurant were higher, however, so I was able to sit at one of those. INGRID (one of the servers at breakfast) made sure to have a table ready, set up & waiting for me inside the restaurant every morning after that. That meant so much to me. l was also able to sit by the pool (thanks to the wheelchair) where AJ & COLLIN made sure I was as comfortable as I could be. On our last evening, I really wanted to go to the beach one last time before heading home. We used Somerset’s special *beach wheelchair* that can navigate sand. AJ & the security guard helped my husband get me onto the beach & into a lounge chair. Our housekeeper, YAQUELIN, was once again absolutely amazing! She kept our room spotless & well-stocked with water, towels, coffee, creamers, etc. She is a gem! We have received the best housekeeping service at Somerset than at any other resort we have stayed at. And thank you to GIOVANNI who is always quick to smile, wave, say hello & offer his assistance. He fixed a minor issue with our tub, when I was unable to stand to take a shower, & he always asked how I was doing. And a huge THANK YOU to the front desk who sent me a gorgeous charcuterie tray the day after my accident, to cheer me up. That meant the world to me!! I truly felt cared for by all of the staff. They went above & beyond to make me feel cared for. STEVONYA has already assisted me with booking our next stay (my “Comeback Tour 2025” 😅). I can’t wait to return, healthy & walking & ready to jump in those beautiful turquoise waters once again!! (I think I will skip the jet skiing though)?

It's like coming home

This was our second trip to the Somerset in 10 months, and this time we brought our son, who loved it as much as we did. We absolutely love the resort, as well as the island. The resort is beautiful, and Grace Bay is possibly the nicest beach we've ever seen. The water was crystal clear, warm but not too warm, and the sand is white, soft, and not hot. The resort is very comfortable, and the staff treats you like family. We went parasailing, scuba diving, and ate at great restaurants. Somerset has become our home away from home, and we can't wait to go back!
