The Fives Oceanfront

Our family had a good time at this hotel. The restaurant servers were great, Luis, Hector and the hostess Yoel did an amazing job. One thing to note is that the roof top restaurant and terrace was adult only so we could only use the two restaurants on the lower floors. The food was good at the main floor restaurant but understaffed at times since it took a while for the food to come out. Also it appeared they gave preference to room service and beach food services. Other than that it was a well designed and clean hotel, we preferred this smaller boutique hotel feel. Glad the beach and pool were kept clean.

My husband and I stayed for a month in January 2025, our third vacation at this beautiful boutique hotel/resort. The reason for us coming back year after year is that we feel like it’s home away from home, a little hidden gem in a beautiful location, serene and peaceful, and away from the bustling crowds. A perfect retreat for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The rooms are very comfortable and is very peaceful and quiet at night, which is a great plus. The services overall were excellent, except for at times the restaurants servers were slow with the orders, which was identified as a problem due to staff shortage. Guests made management aware of this issue which was acknowledged and recognized. They immediately worked on improving the services, by joining the support staff and helping with the shortfall. It was great to see this camaraderie and how supportive and well management and staff worked together and helped each other. A special thank you to Manager Itzeel Mendoza Segarra who was ever ready to fold up her sleeves and help the staff at the restaurant and listen to the guests needs. All Staff at the RoMarley restaurant, just to name a few; Carlos Salazar, Luis Fuentes, Sergio, Luis, Fidel and others, were very polite, caring and provided good service. There were a few glitches with the orders which are normal when understaffed and under duress, they tried the best they could under the circumstances, and overall, we were well taken care of. We also enjoyed our evening dinners at The Almare restaurant. The food presentation was phenomenal and well presented. Delicious appetizers, main courses, especially soups, seafood and desserts. The house wine was drinkable and enjoyable unlike some other hotels where their house wines are not the best. It was amazing to see the team spirit and how well the staff worked together. Pappi and Advil are amazing waiters, full of energy, always smiling, hardworking, and ever willing to please. The adult bar/restaurant on the roof top (sixth floor) was also great. Well-presented and delicious food and drinks served by Castro and others. The beautiful beach with turquoise blue ocean was always clean, Yael, the tour organizer on the beach was ever ready with a smile to assist with any requests, be it tour services or assistance with opening of the heavy umbrellas and moving of the chairs. It’s an easy short walk to the quaint downtown area from the hotel, a beautiful and relaxing walk, especially along the beach. Importantly the relaxing Hotel Spa, Hydrotherapy and Massage which we thoroughly enjoyed, just so therapeutic. Special thanks to manager Alfredo, he was always kind, polite and provided incredible service with a genuine smile and friendliness. Went out of his way to make us comfortable. Also special thanks to yoga teacher Gustavo, felt energized and refreshed after his lessons. We highly recommend this resort. As earlier mentioned, we have been here a few times and will be back!

Amazing resort. Love the beautiful setting on the beach. The resort is beautiful and the food was amazing. All the staff were great! Big shout out to Adrian who served us all week. He was so great couldn’t have asked for better customer service. Yair was our waiter for a number of dinners at the restaurant in the resort and his great service and sense of humour made our experience even better. We will definitely be back!

My room was not ready till like 4pm despite my commitment to deliver it earlier. I was just stuck in a lobby and they did not bat an eye, not even a glass of water was offered. The furniture is worn out and the hotel is clearly being just milked for money. Definitely not worth the money and there is no customer service. The valet team was the only professional and courteous team in the entire hotel. I tried to reach out to management but got no response. Avoid this place.

Fantastic stay , spotlessly clean and huge rooms with comfy bed's, big balcony in junior suite. Good sized bathroom and showers/hot waters. All meals cooked upon order pristine beach and pool area . You can tell the staff love their job go over and beyond to make your stay perfect. Walking distance to small town 20-40 min to nearby Carmen and Cancun. Negatives More sunbeds or dedicated sunbeds to rooms minor wish …more a idea a playroom/tabletennis/ pool table for rainy days. Will highly recommend for adults and couples , for families the fives in Carmen.
