Barcelo Puerto Vallarta

Had the best week ever at this resort with my husband and 2 friends. Rooms are massive, the bay that the resort is in is absolutely gorgeous, the staff are so sweet and attentive - shoutout to Octavio and Moses at the buffet, Fernando one of the activities instructors is such a gem I love his energy, Alfredo and Juventino at the swim up bar and Yareli in the lobby bar absolutely made our stay a 10/10 with their amazing service. The food here is great especially the Italian restaurant. We were here for the four nations faceoff final game and they let us Canadians overtake the lobby bar with our hockey stream and it was one of the most memorable nights of my life. We had seen negative reviews for this hotel and none of them turned out to be true for us this week — we had an incredible time and would love to return.

Beautiful location and grounds. They had a nice variety of food & drink options and the staff was amazingly friendly. Reasonable excursion packages at the concierge desk. Transportation options for self-guided day trips readily available in the lobby.

Rooms are amazing! Nice big patios. Great food. Everything was kept very clean and well maintained. Thus was our first trip to Barcelo, but we will be back!! Make sure to have Gerardo at the lobby bar get you started with an espresso martini!!

victor was one of our favourite evening servers and oscar in the morning was great! we are very appreciative of them & felt appreciated by them. thank you! we are having a great stay at the Barcelo hotel and there is a very consistent high level of services from all of the staff at the resort

For me this has everything that I personally want at a resort, sure you'll have those moments where you wish kids weren't allowed but overall it's top notch. The staff is incredible, the food is decent, and what makes it even better..... the locals are incredibly kind and helpful.
