Amauri and the entertainment group were fantastic. We had a lot of fun’s with his group playing BINGO and billiards on a rainy down day in Punta Cana. Weather has been great and the food has been awesome. Highly recommend the Waves restaurant for dinner - the steak and sides were the best.

We just had a fantastic family vacation at Hyatt Cap Cana. We have two young boys (3yo and 7yo). I was nervous about trying something new after years of going to Grand Hyatt Baha Mar. I’m glad we took a chance on this place. Shoutout to Brandon who gifted us a GoH award. Perks included upgraded room, butler and access to Club. We were wowed immediately when we entered the well-maintained luxurious grounds. It had a more peaceful vibe than what we were used to at Baha Mar. These are some of the concerns we had from reading comments about the food, friendliness of staff and stomach issues. Food: I had managed my expectations of the food, being that it is an all-inclusive. Was pleased with the quality. There was good variety at Mercado buffet. They were allergy conscious, which I appreciate since we have a son with several food allergies (nut and sesame). My son was disappointed when he couldn’t eat the delicious cake on display due to risk of cross contamination in the kitchen. The manager was kind enough to bring a vegan chocolate cake for him. The only place we weren’t a fan of was tempest. The food leans more on the salty side fyi. Friendliness of staff: we found all staff were kind and warm. Stomach issues: I generally have a sensitive stomach and have dealt with travelers diarrhea in the past. I was prepared with Imodium, Pepcid etc. but did not need to use any of that. My entire family had no tummy issues the entire time. We were careful to use bottled water for brushing teeth. My tips for guests: I appreciate all those who suggested asking for a dehumidifier. It made a huge difference in increasing comfort in the hotel room. Bring tip money (plenty of dollar and five dollar bills) for servers, butler, housekeeping. Although we didn’t need this, we found out the gift store sells antibiotics if anyone gets sick. Apparently Dr visits can costs up to 300 for initial eval and prescription for any medication. Our biggest complaint was the temperature of the pool. If the pools were warmer, we will for sure be loyal yearly guests at Cap Cana. We were able to stay at the pool for extended periods of time by warming up in the hot tubs. The activities at the resort: water park was a manageable size for young kids. There’s a cute area for young children with a small slide and dunk buckets. The lazy river was a bit too intense for my toddler who didn’t love the splashing waterfalls. My older son and I loved it though! We enjoyed the nightly entertainment and kid friendly activities like movie night with adorable teepees, magic show, appearances by transformers, wax hand craft and dancing. All in all, we enjoyed staying at this gorgeous resort with well kept grounds. Everything felt clean, which is important to me. For me, it was a perfect balance between luxury and family friendliness. We have pretty high standards for good food that’s why we haven’t gone to an all inclusive. However, the food at the buffet was surprisingly good. It was a bit on the salty side.

As a large extended family we have been coming for several years now. The resort had some ups and downs and we noticed a few changes that we didn’t love. However, we still had a wonderful week largely in part to the wonderful service we received from the staff. At the club pool, Deiby and Yefri are the absolute best. We also really enjoyed Junior, Anyeli, Nataly, Luis, Erika & Juan B. Facundo is a bit behind the scene at the club pool but he is probably the hardest working person there. At Mercado breakfast Alfredo always goes above and beyond in service and Andres is so friendly at the omlet station. Walma at the bell stand is also really great! Elvis did a wonderful job helping us on the club level. We appreciated his assistance. Because of the high service levels we receive each year we plan to return again. We do hope some of the restaurants improve/add more options, more pool chairs are added to the club (or stop overselling the club) and better evening entertainment. We noticed this really went downhill this year. Who wants to watch talent shows every night?

From the minute you arrive you are taken care of. Club level is a must. You have a butler and access to different restaurants/pools/bars. Juan was the BEST butler and helped us with everything, a pleasure to deal with. Yefri and Junior at the club pool were outstanding along with Erika Robyn & Amado! Our kids had fun, it was very safe, clean and kept everyone busy for a week! The staff overall were very accommodating and super friendly. ricardo at the blind butcher made my son’s birthday extra special! that was definitely one of the best nights! Highly recommend.

I actually was staying at the Hyatt Zilara. The food was excellent, service was amazing and the entertainment was good. However compared to the Hyatt in Cabo and Cancun the entertainment wasn’t as good. I loved the morning stretch classes! Jose and Yefery were awesome! Anthony made the best omelettes in the buffet. There was always a wait to get into the restaurants each night especially the Asian one. The hotel was spotless at all times and the housekeepers were amazing! The beach was amazing and we had a perfect ocean view. My only real grip is that the toilet tissue was scented and it irritated me.
