The Darling

I am very disappointed at how frugal a large hotel like this can be. My package includes a $50 credit for my room service. I went to order room service online and all I could see was a pay option. I paid for the meal, and after check out I realised that I wasn't reimbursted. Spoken to reception, they said you have to use the $50 credit at time of order. I mentioned I wasn't informed that, any how, if they could reimburst me, as it makes no difference to their bottom line whether it was used first or after. They bring out their "policy", and refused. It was initially communicated thru the email with a staff called Tristan, but after providing my booking details, he stopped replying despite follow up. Have to call again, and staff refused. Not good at all

Amazing stay at the darling sydney. Assistant manager Jam could not do enough for us to make this a most memorable stay for us. Our suite was simply amazing and best views in sydney. We can't wait for our next stay at the darling sydney. Thank you again Jam for your incredible service and the most amazing experience you provided for our family.

AMAZING SERVICE AND EXPERIENCE - 5 STARS! Unlike other luxury hotels in Australia where service and initiative can be quite lacking, I found The Darling hotel and staff to be at an international level. Ali, the supervisor who organised my booking was extremely caring, welcoming, and did everything in his power to make my stay special. The attention to detail and communication between the departments was impeccable. I felt right at home. The Jewel Spa suite is simply stunning and very comfortable. Room service meals were delicious, and pool area was relaxing with a lovely bar. From the valet, to the reception staff, to restaurant and in-room dining, everyone was really caring, helpful, polite, and accomodating. No request felt like too much. I highly recommend this hotel, and plan to stay there again regularly! xx

Just checked in, Great service and speed. Andrew was exceptional during the check in answering all questions, and fulfilling my requests. The Darling at the Star is a great World Class Hotel. Stayed here a few times now. The room again was immaculate.

A lot to like about this hotel. First my room was very modern and clean. Walk in Shower was awesome, Checkin staff was very helpful. I had paid a little extra for a room to be ready by 2PM and it was ready at 1PM. Easy to access wifi. Daily cleaning service was great. Location is very close to Darling Harbor, maybe a 3-4 block walk to the pedestrian bridge that crosses the harbor.
