Reviews for Avani Quy Nhon Resort & Spa

Relaxing resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 15 hours ago

We stayed at the Avani three nights under a half board package. The facilities and rooms are nice and beach at this and the sister resort next door were very quiet which was great. The winds and current were bad when we were there so we didn't swim in the ocean but the pool area was very nice. The gym is next door at the sister resort and is small but well equipped and spotless. The area is a bit out of Quy Nhon so a bit quieter but for a shorter stay like ours we didn't mind. The restaurant was very good. The breakfast buffet was as good as we've had anywhere in Vietnam with several made to order items. As noted in other reviews, for the half board option the resort should be more flexible with substitutes or change their menus more often. The food was very good but after three dinners we'd exhausted the Vietnamese menu. I would also highly recommend the spa. The massages my wife and I had were some of the best we've had anywhere in a long time including far more expensive resorts. Our room included a sixty minute massage but if we had stayed longer we would have paid for more massages. My only other recommendation would be that the resort pay a bit more attention to maintenance. Some areas are showing a little wear and tear. We had a leaky faucet in our room which we noted to staff and someone came to look at it but it still leaked. Overall though we enjoyed this resort and would return again.

A hidden gem

This hotel is truly a hidden gem! The ambiance was warm and inviting, and the decor was tastefully done. I particularly enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, which offered a variety of delicious options to start my day. Really love it and will recommend

Wonderful location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We arrived in really bad weather and first we were not impressed by the reception area which felt cold and deserted. We had half board and upon check in we were immediately asked when we wanted to have dinner and what we wanted to eat. That was not the best start of our stay. However, we stayed 4 nights and the place grew on us. The location is stunning even though it was very windy and it seems that the current at most times is very strong, so we do wonder if the ocean is ever really suitable for swimming. The layout of the resort is great the swimming pool, surrounding areas and views lovely (especially when the weather is nice). The room was large, extremely clean and the terrace and views just amazing. You can look out at the ocean from the shower. We have to complement the staff – everybody was so friendly and service minded and did everything they could to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The breakfast buffet amazing and you are able to order many dishes. As mentioned, we had half board – the menu options could use more variety when you are staying for several days as it was the same most nights. There is a large a la carte menu and the staff at the restaurant will do everything they can to accommodate special requests. There were hardly any quests when we visited so it did make the atmosphere a bit strange and deserted. We would image that the experience is better with a bit more quests, because it is a wonderful place and it deserves more visitors.
