Amazing time at Heritance Aarah!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 20 hours ago

We had an amazing time at Heritance Aarah! From the moment we arrived until the day we left we had exceptional friendly, service, which far exceeded my expectations. The staff simply could not do enough for you. I travelled with two young children, 9 and 4 years old and they were made to feel very welcome everywhere we went. I also had an ankle injury I received 3 weeks before travelling, which made walking difficult, however our butler, Saurav made sure I was well taken care of and I never had to walk far. We were picked up and dropped off at the restaurants and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was professional, well organized and always made sure we had dinner reservations each night. He was quickly able to get me some painkillers when I needed them from the medical clinic on site, which I really appreciated. The location is beyond beautiful and the resort is truly 5 star. The variety of food was very good and although we did not snorkel we saw sharks, a stingray, dolphins and a variety of fish. Our housekeeper Nabeel took extra care cleaning our room everyday and went above and beyond bringing ice and an analgesic cream for my ankle. Every night we were treated to a beautiful sand creation on our doorstep which became a highlight for my kids! He is an exceptional artist! Before we left he gifted us with two beautiful pictures he hand-painted himself and some other lovely Maldivian souvenirs. These are things we will treasure forever. We mostly ate at Ranba, for breakfast, as the buffet was open early and had the best variety of food for the kids. Jay, the chef, (not his full name, but told us we could call him that!) was super friendly and always greeted us with a smile. We looked forward to seeing him everyday and hearing about his family. Before we left my daughter gifted him one of her dresses which she wanted him to have for his little girl. Dinner was mostly at Ralu where Rohanna and his team did an amazing job. The kids quickly became well known and my daughter was always taken by the hand to our table. We loved trying all the different dishes and Rohanna went above and beyond to make sure everyone got what they wanted. My son’s daily request for pasta was never too much trouble! We loved always having a seat closest to the water so we could see the fish from our table! On our last night there we celebrated my daughter’s birthday and Rohanna brought her a little cake with candles and everyone sang to her! Saurav and Deepak (who served us on several occasions and was also wonderful) were there too which made it extra special. My son was not forgotten and he had a goodbye message written in coral on the table which made his day! Overall I cannot say enough about our time here. We not only made memories which we will have for the rest of our lives, but we also made lifelong friends. I was truly sad to say goodbye to each of these special people as they had become such an important part of our holiday and without them our experience would have been very different. We travelled from southern British Columbia, Canada, so basically the other side of the world, but it was totally worth it and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat! I miss the peaceful tranquil setting, the white sand and turquoise water, but mostly I miss the people.

This is true Paradise

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

The most beautiful resort we have ever stayed at. The attention to detail is second to none. It’s a true paradise. We stayed at a beach villa - just yards from the warm sea. So quiet and private. Housekeeping at this resort is outstanding! Our butler Nafiu was always available to us and responded to our requests very promptly and efficiently. He checked in with us frequently to make sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Nafiu. And finally - the food! Truly amazing - we loved all the restaurants and our sincere thanks goes to Madhava and all this wonderful chefs for their attention to flavour and variety. Just perfect.

Best resort in the Maldives

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

One of the best places I’ve stayed in my whole life, it’s the best holiday you can get to experience from start to end. Our butler was Nafiu and he took care of us in the best possible way, available for you when ever you need anything! Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a high end experience in the Maldives. 10/10. Thanks for everything Nafiu, will definitively come back!

Disappointing Service – Not Worth the Hype!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

Our experience at Hesitance Aarah has been extremely frustrating due to their terribly slow service. If you order something, be prepared to wait at least 2 hours—whether it’s food, towels, or basic requests. Today, we’ve been waiting for room cleaning since morning, and despite calling the reception multiple times, there has been no response or action. For a so-called luxury resort, this level of service is unacceptable. Definitely not worth the price! Avoid if you value your time and comfort.

An Out of This World Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

It is impossible to know where to start in explaining what an incredible experience we had at Heritance Aarah. We came for 6 nights as part of a split trip for our Honeymoon and we will definitely be back! Room: We had the most beautiful room in a perfect location (Overwater Villa). The room had ample space for everything we needed and we loved the little glass window in the floor. There were multiple seating options in the room and outside and the terrace was huge! The mini bar is expansive and re-stocked everyday. I especially liked that small bottles of Spirits were included as I only really enjoy wine with dinner. The Daybed outside was so large for lounging on and we spent a few evenings outside on it just staring at the stars. The villas and terraces are arranged in such a way that they all feel very private and not overlooked at all. The rooms was always cleaned to a spotless standard and plenty of towels replaced for you as needed. Butler: I cannot say enough good things about our amazing Butler Jaube. We've never had a Butler before, and at first I wasn't sure what we'd really need but we were often messaging Jaube for a lift to different areas of the Island. Jaube was such a kind man, and always so quick to respond to any queries we had - I don't think we ever waited more than 8 minutes for a buggy! I don't know how he made everything seem so seamless in terms of luggage drop off / pick up / departure etc. A massive thank you to Jaube and we will definitely be requesting him when we return. Food & Dink: The food and drink was out of this world. For breakfast we went to the buffet which was extensive but I was always tempted by the array of lovely fresh fruit whilst my Hisband tended to opt for the Asian breakfast options. I loved the 'barefoot' style of the buffet and the seating on the beach. For lunch, we also mainly went to the buffet which was aboslubtly amazing, so many options to choose from and all of such a high quality - the fresh fish was amazing, as we're their soups of the day! For dinner, we ate twice at Ralu, twice and Ginafati, once at Ambula and once at the Buffet. Ambula is an experience not to be missed! It's definitely different, but we loved every single course and the story behind each. It is a beautifully crafted menu and well worth the time it takes, it's also a gorgeous setting. Ginafati offered 2 different set menus whilst we were there and both were so tasty. The Lobster Bisque Ravioli was a specific highlight. Ralu had a really extensive menu as well, and I liked that you could self serve some small appetiser bits from the small buffet area before your main meal. We opted for Steaks / Lamb at Ralue and were impressed with how perfectly they were cooked given we asked for Rare and Medium Rare. We didn't have one 'average' meal our entire holiday - everything was outstanding! There's also so much choice that even if you were here 2 weeks, if you mixed the buffet in, you wouldn't get bored of the food choices. The Wine, Spirits and Cocktail menus are so extensive you certainly will be spoilt for choice! All the cocktails are so freshly made with such precision and care, my favourite was a Mojito Mas which was filled with delicious fresh fruit. No overly sweet thick syrups here, just everything made with fresh ingredients which is so delicious. Pool: There was definitely no subed hogging here! And ample choice of seating and sunbeds round the pool and the perfect placement of the decking to hop in the pool or in the sea. Service round the pool was fantastic too, and we were never long without a drink! Activities & Excursions: I think it's brilliant that Heritance Aarah include 4 excursions (Sunrise Cruise, Sunset Cruise, Dolphin Cruise, Fishing) that you can participate in. We only did the Sunrise and Sunset Cruise as we simply ran out of time with everything else. The excursions are well worth doing and not overcrowded. Some beautiful photo opportunities on both cruises. We paid for the Manta Safari from the Diving Centre, absoloubtly so worth it and we were lucky to swim with around 12 of them for 45 minutes. My Husband went diving twice and said the Dive Centre staff were great, really personable and he had a great experience. We are avid snorkellers and the best way to reach the reef quickly is to walk along the Jetty out to the Dive Centre and climb down the steps into the harbour. There's so much to see, you won't be disappointed! If you decide to swim back to the beach from the reef just be cautious as it does get very shallow as you swim over the coral. And a final tip, don't skip the incredible art shop run by Shamin_hsznrm. He is the most wonderful person and so incredibly talented. He was so patient with me in the run upto our trip answering all my questions, and then when we arrived he took his time in helping guide us create our masterpieces! We thoroughly enjoyed our time making such a memorable and sentimental masterpiece. Overall, we will definitely return to Heritance. It was our first experience in the Maldives and I'm not sure anywhere else will be able to beat it!
