InterContinental Maldives Maamunagau Resort

We had an amazing stay and with Yolanda as our host, nothing was too much trouble. She is an absolute superstar and we will miss her until next time! The rest of the island staff are also amazing and top tier! All extremely helpful and always smiling. The APP made things so seamless for us. All the little things they do (I won’t spoil for you, you’ll have to stay to see)! The Overwater Pool Villa we stayed in was just stunning and perfect for us, we can’t wait to return.

Six-night stay with four nights in a one-bedroom beachside pool villa and two nights in an overwater villa. It was a lovely property with nice food, which was not quite at the Four Seasons level but perfectly fine as this was not a culinary holiday (and the Maldives, local fish aside, have to make do with mostly imported food). The service was off the charts and better than any island resort we know, from Fikree, who met us on arrival and saw us back through check-in on the way out, to Mira, our "curator," who seems to be everywhere at once and laser-focused on our every need. Mira was so impressive that even if it had rained the whole week (which it didn't), her sunshine attitude would have made up for any clouds.

Had a most wonderful vacation in this mantastic island. The ocean so beautiful, our villa so comfy and clean, every staff so kind. Our curator Silvi kindly helped us getting along with this resort, we quickly fell in love with this island and the resort thanks to her. I also remember Kishore entertained us with his magic trick, still wondering how he did it. We hope to come back here someday.

We had an incredible stay at the Intercontinental Maldives. Our two-story villa with a private pool and ocean view was beautiful and luxurious — the perfect place to relax. A highlight of our trip was the dolphin excursion, where we saw a group of 40-50 dolphins — truly an unforgettable experience. The food was exceptional, especially the breakfast, with an impressive variety of options. The different restaurants offered a great selection, ensuring every meal felt special. The staff were amazing — so welcoming, friendly, and attentive. They were especially kind to our daughter, which made her feel right at home. The kids’ club was incredible, with fantastic activities that kept her entertained and happy throughout the trip. If you’re looking for a luxurious and family-friendly getaway with stunning views, delicious food, and outstanding service, the Intercontinental Maldives is the perfect choice. We’ll definitely be back!
