Excellent Excellent ! had a real great time. Wonderful resort, highly personalized service, wonderful rooms. Multiple restaurants, serving super awesome food from elaborate buffet, oriental option, mediterranean, pizzeria. While, every staff member was exceptional, would like to shout out for IYAZ, Shirjin and Ashram who took such good care of us. ZEENATH at the departure lounge was great too - A Great team !

We had the pleasure of staying at the Maamunagua resort for 5 nights and enjoyed every moment of it. The Resort Manager Reinhold Johann and his team do an excellent job in delivering the highest quality of service over every sphere of the island. A special mention must go out to Iyaz who was our point of contact while on the island and arranged our every need at times even prempting our needs, he is a credit to the resort and to IHG Hotels. Again, thanks to all staff on the island and hope to see yous again

The best vacation ever! Everything is perfect and I can tell from details that the hotel want us to enjoy the most there! Silvi and Dwi taking care of us so well! And Zulal always brought us little surprise either put decoration or set up bubble bath for us! The room has the best sea view and privacy. Food is delicious and fine dining every day. House reef near spa is the best snorkelling area and so many fishes and saw manta also baby shark deep in sea!

First time visit to the intercontinental Maamunagau Resort Maldives and it won’t be the last ! From the moment we landed into Male to the time we checked back in at the airport 6 days later our experience was first class and seamless Upon arrival We were whisked away to the intercontinental lounge, away from the hustle and bustle of airport life while we waited for our seaplane, enjoying an air conditioned lounge with refreshments. We had amazing weather so the seaplane trip was spectacular to say the least albeit a little daunting being in a small prop job. Landing into the magnificent blue waters of the lagoon near the island, we were greeted by our curator Omy on the transfer boat . Omy and Iyaz shared the curator duties and looked after everything from that moment on. Whatever we needed or wanted they just made it happen and always with a smile. Maamunagau Island is Spectacular! The ocean vistas, the amazing lagoon the sunsets, the landscape, the perfectly manicured gardens and “sand walkways”brings new meaning to barefoot luxury. It took me till the third night to put on a pair of shoes for dinner!!! That says a lot and it definitely is a first for me in 30 years of travel. Of course you need people to run a resort and the people we met are the most valuable part of this resort. Under the guidance of Reinhold Johann, general manager I experienced a group of people , too many names to mention( and I did make a list as we connected with all of them ) that were very content and hard working always with a smile willing to engage but if you wanted not to be bothered they left you in peace. It was refreshing to see how well a company looked after the staff living on the island. There are plenty of good international food options at the three main restaurants and we experienced all of them. The beach bbq in front of the lighthouse beach was a standout and will go into our top 5 experiences of all time, the combination of being on the sand with the most amazing views and sunset with a glass of bubbly in hand, it was heaven. This is a magical place with the most pristine beach I’ve ever experienced. Can’t wait to come back

We spent the week at the magnificent Maamunagau Resort on our honeymoon. It was paradise from the very start. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a warm welcome from Jude, the general manager, his staff, and island music on live drums. Silvi, our curator, picked us up in a golf cart and gave us a guided tour of the island and its amenities after which she brought us to our bungalow. Our curator arranged all our dinner reservations and activities for the week as we wished. She did a great job keeping in touch with us by text and on the Stayus app (hosted by the resort) and addressed any and all of our needs or wants during our stay. Our two story bungalow was immaculate, The views were amazing from every window on either the seaside or the view of the lagoon which hosts a private beach. We were greeted with welcome gifts such as a honeymoon chocolate cake, champagne, a box of appetizers, and romantic decorations on our bed. The accommodations and grounds are impeccable, the bed, extremely comfortable with a choice of pillows, two different bathrobes each, slippers and flip-flops, and even a beach bag to carry accessories. Each bungalow offers a set of bikes to ride around the island and they even label them with your initials (aside from your room number) for a personal touch. One morning we had a "floating breakfast" in our private infinity pool catered with plenty of great food options! It was relaxing and a breathtaking experience. An exciting afternoon excursion was a Maldivian cooking class. The menu included making Maldivian style tuna salad, curry and fried banana desert. Cooking along aside an informative professional was a real treat, we enjoyed the meal we learned tp cook after the class. Yum!!! We had an amazing experience with Anastasia making resin art at the Color Corner. Anastasia who is extremely talented, creative and a pleasure to work with. She guided us as we created chess pieces and ornaments with sea shells which we picked off the beach to personalize the creations. The treasures we created will be a continuous reminder us of our stay in paradise. We went on a snorkeling excursion to a beautiful reef with an abundance of fish and sea life, including a surprise visit from a sea turtle. The resort offers activities such as kayaks, paddle boards, jet skis, water skis, and even e-foiling. I experienced e-foiling for the first time just off the beach. The instructor was abundantly patient and encouraging. He helped me gain my confidence to lay down, stand and even get the e-foil out of the water. The abundant offerings of food were filled with a lot of diversity We enjoyed buffet breakfast most days sitting on the open deck. As for dinner, there were several options. We experienced a private moonlit dinner on the beach with our own chef and wait staff making it a very personalized experience. On Valentine's Day, the beach setting was decorated hearts carved in the sand around each private table. We enjoyed a personalized meal while listening to the three piece band just after sunset. On Wednesday the staff and their pet bird "HO HO" (whom we grew quite fond of by the time we left) hosted happy hour with a sunset backdrop on the beach. We enjoyed the meet greet as well as cocktails and served hors d'oeuvres. On our last night, we returned to the bungalow after an enjoyable dinner and our curator Silvi had drawn us a warm bath with bath salts; decorated with rose petals and swan shaped towels. Upon departure, the staff met us on the dock to give us a heart felt bon voyage. We will never forget the memories we created and the people that made it possible. Jude and his staff became a part of our family. We are planning our next visit already with friends.
