Rising like a Phoenix from the desert floor is The Westin Mission Hills Resort & Spa, a Starwood Resort property, located in stylish Rancho Mirage near Palm Springs. The collection of rooms is inviting, tasteful and a perfect complement to the desert terrain with earthy hues, rich textiles, and terraces overlooking the grounds and golf courses. And, speaking of golf, swingers can take to one of two championship courses while at the Westin Hills Resort that will challenge even the most skilled player. There are also tennis courts, fitness facilities, and a free-form swimming pool shaded by leafy palm trees and flanked by ample-size loungers.

The property is massive and undeniably beautiful, but be prepared to walk 10-15 minutes from your room to the lobby. While most of the staff were friendly and accommodating, the Front Desk experience left much to be desired. The front desk team, especially the manager Rebecca, came across as unkind and uninterested in helping. For instance, when I asked about activities, I was told to "go find it myself," only to discover that the printed materials they referenced were unavailable. The resort offers a variety of activities, but a word of caution—the bowling cards they provide at check-in had a zero balance, which felt like a scam or oversight. The rooms are dated and clean-ish—not quite the quality you’d expect from a Westin, more akin to a Residence Inn level of cleanliness, which was acceptable but not impressive. On a brighter note, the pool is fantastic, albeit crowded with kids, making it a great spot for families with young ones. Overall, the resort has potential but falls short on service and room standards for the Westin brand.

Wow what a great facial! I chose the ultimate vitamin C facial and it was wonderful. Masami gave a great massage, and really paid attention to detail. The spa itself was very clean I especially liked the little boutique in the front that sold great smelling spa products. It was a great afternoon to spend with a friend, the glass of champagne after the facial was a nice touch. I will definitely be back!

I had the best time at the Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa! My room was immaculate. I was very surprised that when I used disinfectant wipes over most of the surfaces, they were clean. My room was very clean. The beds and pillows are very comfortable and I got a great night's sleep every night I was there. But let's talk about the spa! I had a massage by Jasmine. She was wonderful! I was so relaxed afterwards and comfortable during the massage. I would definitely ask for her on my return trip. I also had a chance to get in the hot tub at the spa and enjoy the peace and comfort of the zen room where you can relax before and after having services. They also offered a glass of champagne after my massage. The spa was a wonderful experience, Letty and Pamela checked me in and took care of my purchases for the really nice boutique after my services. They were both very nice and knowledgeable about the items in the boutique. I also talked with Yvonne about nutrition. She is very knowledgeable about health and nutrition and gave me some great suggestions. Overall this resort is wonderful and I look forward to going back. All of the facilities are very nice, updated and beautiful!! I highly recommend this resort and spa!!!

Husband is handicapped and the hotel is not good for that. There is no valet service or anyone to help with the luggage, the rooms are in different buildings so if you want to go to one of their restaurants you have to wait for a golf cart to pick you up and take you back to your building. The rooms were nice but their is not a elevator to get to the even rooms which are on the second floor only stairs.

The highlight of our stay at Westin Rancho Mirage was the outstanding service at Pinzimini Restaurant by our server, Gloria, and all of the staff there. This was fine dining where water glasses were never empty, new silverware for each coarse, table properly cleared after each course, burnt out candle replaced and no detail missed. How service was meant to be. It was refreshing to see and very enjoyable! The roasted beet salad, mixed salad, sea bass, veal and desserts were all exceptional. We also had great service from the housekeeper for our three night stay. We plan to return as this was our first trip to this resort and Greater Palm Springs.
