A Symphony of Thoughtful Hospitality

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

From the aromatic welcome drink to the personalized farewell card, this place understands hospitality at its core. The room was a sanctuary of comfort, with views that made me linger by the window each morning. The concierge team went above and beyond with their local recommendations, each one perfectly suited to my interests. The evening turndown service with its little surprise

Business Traveler's Dream Haven

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I travel frequently for business, but this stay made me feel like I was on vacation. The workspace in the room was perfectly designed, the Wi-Fi was lightning-fast, and the 24-hour business center was a lifesaver. But what truly set this place apart was the rooftop lounge - the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of meetings. The bartender's knowledge of craft cocktails was impressive

Disappointing, lack amenities, poor/rude service. Not worthy of a 5 star title.

For the price and marketing of being a 5 star hotel our experience just did not meet those standards. We stayed here for our honeymoon and had one of top floor deluxe suites so normally you would expect top tier service and amenities. The rooms are out dated, the TVs don’t have any streaming apps or chromecast options so the only channels to watch are in Italian or CNN with limited movie rental options for $15 a piece, for this price point and being a luxury resort this is unacceptable. Bathroom showers are small. Overall the cabinets/storage are limited and small/cheap. We found majority of the staff to be rude and seemed to not want to be bothered. Not very welcoming either. The beach club was randomly closed one day because of rain in the forecast but it was sunny the entire day. And then the next day the beach club was closed for the rest of season which no one disclosed at any time to us. This was disappointed and felt like a big miss in regards to amenities. The pool area has tons of flys, like unbearable we had to leave. They need to remove the grass from that area. The food overall is over priced and small portions, you will leave hungry with a large bill. The exterior of the hotel is beautiful and the views are stunning and the location is great, walking distant to Ravello. However, it feels like the hotel is relying on that and it feels like they don’t think they have to provide a top tier service and experience because of the view/exterior aesthetic. It’s a shame because it is very beautiful but they need to make some improvements if they want to continue to draw clients at this price point.

Slice of Heaven in Amalfi

A slice of heaven in Italy. Amazing views and even better service. Ravello is a heavenly small town where you feel safe. The hotel has great relationships and picks up the phone quickly to help you for any reason. Rossellini’s is a must visit- the best food and service we’ve ever had at home or in any country.

It’s fine.

Palazzo Avino has a lovely view and the people working in housekeeping and at the bar are all very nice and hardworking people. The hotel itself is very clean and the communal spaces are well appointed and have lovely plants and views. They’ve got very cute branding and it looks like they’re very popular with instagram influencers. Many of the reviews show photos of the suites, likely from honeymooners. I wanted to attach a photo of our room as well as the view, so that other people might see what a “mountain view” room might afford them. The room is very small and there are no en suite amenities that you might expect in a 5 star property such as an espresso machine or a teapot, should you wish to have a coffee in room before breakfast begins at 7:30. The Mountain View rooms face the alley where there are often people smoking and crashing bottles from the hotel for early am garbage pickups. Someone mentioned waters and a nightly sweet treat- that for us was a small piece of turn down chocolate. The front desk staff has a markedly different demeanor than the rest of the staff- it was a disconnect for us after staying at another 5 star in Ravello in years past, where the service from start to finish is incredible. Please also check your final bill; I found many erroneous minibar charges that had to be stricken from the bill. I cannot say I would recommend this to clients as “how you treat anyone is how you treat everyone”.
