We stayed for a week in a beautiful water view room. The hotel is conveniently located next to the boardwalk with plenty of great restaurants. We ate brunch at the hotel restaurant and the food was perfect. The staff was amazing and exceeded my expectations. Especially Craig I believe he is one of the hotel managers. He is one of the friendliest, and professional managers I’ve ever dealt with. He provided us with great recommendations on where to eat and what to do in the area. We look forward to coming back next year.

We love this hotel. the staff is very friendly the rooms are modern and clean and the view of the harbor and Redondo beach are spectacular. We had breakfast at Baleens and it did not disappoint us at all. I would recommend staying at the Portofino to anyone visiting the SouthBay area of Los Angeles.

Christmas away from Home

Everything about the hotel was wonderful! We came to stay closer to our family on 12/24/24-12/26/24. The hotel was dressed for Christmas, which made us so happy as we felt like we were home. The entrance lobby and Living Room were decorated to the “nines”! Registration was do warm and hospitable, very welcoming…. seriously, it could not have been a better experience. We brought our dog and on Christmas morning we needed to get him outside for his business, stopped by Baleens and picked up two coffees and they too were dog friendly! Baleens was also decorated…and so we returned for breakfast. We both had eggs Benedict- delicious! We really enjoyed spending time in the Living Room- it’s beautiful over looking the ocean, huge Christmas Tree, fire crackling in the fireplace… and drinks if you choose. The staff could not have been more accommodating. I was surprised being away from home on the holidays that I really felt the Christmas Spirit in the hotel and with the staff.

Staff was amazing and friendly. I was always greeted every time I would pass by the front desk. If you want to wake up to a beautiful view this is it! Ocean view was great. Check out was a breeze. I would definitely stay here again. I’m looking forward to future stays here.

Look somewhere ELSE!

👎🏻 First and foremost, this hotel is NOT a resort! It has a pool, what it calls a fitness center is a couple of treadmills and a few free weights. I booked through CC points. Upon arrival were told there’s a $38.00 per day “Resort” fee and $40.00 per day parking fee. In addition a $125.00 daily fee charged instantly to my credit card $948.00 for POSSIBLE incidentals. Of which is to be credited when I check out. The bathroom lighting is terrible. Do you want coffee ☕️ in the morning other than the Kcup provided in the room. Haha … you’ve got to wait until 7:00 and walk across the parking lot to a separate restaurant of which you’ll be charged! A TOTAL disappointment and rip off!
