Convenient hotel for exploring Reno

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My husband and I stayed here 3 nights. We liked the hotel. The room had two bedside tables, each with a reading light. I appreciated the TWO upholstered easy chairs, plus a padded desk chair. The room had a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The room had sufficient bedside charging and electrical outlets. I really liked the huge attractive backlit photo displays on the walls of the casino and hotel. They periodically changed to offer a new scenic view. Many of the photos were landscapes but some were city views. One night we heard two live musicians in an upstairs bar. This hotel was a comfortable base from which to explore Reno. We ate dinner at three different higher-end restaurants at the casino, but weren’t able to get a spot at the steakhouse. We liked walking around the casino. We did not do any gambling.

This place is a complete sham

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This place is a complete sham. First off they have you book a room for about $100 a night not informing you That resort fees are $50 a night. Are you kidding me? There are a ton of hotels here in Reno that don’t charge half of that for resort fees that have more amenities. This “resort” smells like cheap perfume. The staff is not helpful and the managers are extremely rude. all the restaurants here are disgusting and are a major rip off. I will never say here again nor will I ever recommend this hotel.

Huge resort & casino with a lot to offer

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We stayed here two nights to attend a wedding. Our room on the 4th floor had an amazing view over the inner courtyard pools. (A friend told me he loved the spa.) The room was very clean and comfortable, with two queen beds and plenty of space. The casino downstairs is VAST, with endless slots and restaurants... it seems to go on for miles. We ate in two of the dining venues and both were very good, with friendly service, though rather expensive. Also liked the coffee and yummy breakfast sandwiches/pastries in the lobby. The only thing we didn't like was the smell of smoke in the 4th-floor hallway. It's a "nonsmoking" floor—yet we could still smell cigarette smoke coming from somewhere, not so much in our room, but definitely in the hallway. Overall it was a nice stay, but as someone with asthma who's allergic to secondhand smoke, I probably wouldn't stay here again.
