For the past four years my family has gone to The Jefferson Hotel to enjoy their holiday tea. It has become our holiday tradition and we look forward to the delicious food and beautiful decorations. This year's experience, sadly, left much to be deserved. The tea sandwiches were practically inedible. The bread was hard because the trays are prepared in advance, per the waitress, so the food dries out. We asked to speak to a manager and instead the waitress was sent back out to tell us this is a known problem and there was nothing that could be done. Again, we've been multiple years in a row and never had a similar experience so they obviously know how to do things properly. Between the cost and lack of caring, it was quite disappointing and I'm not sure we'll continue our tradition moving forward.

We loved the Jefferson! The room was plush and comfortable, with a large and lovely marble bathroom. Very quiet which we appreciate. We ordered a cheese plate and bottle of wine from room service, and it was delivered on time and with perfect service. We dined at TJ's for lunch, and it was great. The high point of our stay was dinner at Lemaire. So great! The maids were awesome and the turn-down service was perfect. The car valet service was awesome. One negative comment: I am a tea drinker. At most hotels, you have a complementary coffee and tea situation in the room. At the Jefferson, it was only coffee. I called the concierge and asked for a teapot and tea bags. They sent a teapot but said I had to call room service to get tea bags. So I called room service and they said I would have to pay for tea bags. I called the concierge back and asked why would we get complimentary coffee in the room but not complimentary tea. They did not have a good answer for that, so they sent tea bags up to the room. I thought this was a bit unusual because when we stay at any other hotel, there is always coffee AND tea in the room. We had a chuckle about that. Overall a lovely Hotel, though. We will be back and recommend the Jefferson to all.

The Jefferson Hotel is a must see at Christmas time. The old world charm and over the top Chistmas decoracations make it one of the most beautiful hotels we've stayed in. The staff is very well trained and personalable. A shout out to William the manager and Jack our shuttle driver! The room was large, beautifully appointed and very clean, including the large beautiful bathroom. Dinner at Lemaire was great! As was lunch and watching football at TJ's. The fitness room was larger and better than average for most 4 star hotels.

This is a beautiful old hotel. The front desk was extremely helpful. Our room was large and elegant. We had a delicious dinner and breakfast. I down graded it because our room was 51 degrees. We called for help and were given a ridiculous story about housekeeping setting the thermostat low. The room never warmed up. Don’t stay here in winter

While a little bit of a splurge for us (not too bad), this was worth every penny. The room was enormous and thoughtfully furnished, right down to the tv in the bathroom mirror which can be viewed from the soaking tub!! The breakfasts were wonderful, the bar was so friendly to two senior women ("Welcome back!") and every staff member with whom we interacted was genuinely friendly and helpful. I am sorry that I don't have everyone's names; but Grayson and William at the Concierge Desk were patient and charming; and Scott, our shuttle driver, took good care of us and was diligent in making sure he took us to the best possible location for our river cruise. I cannot wait to return here: an elegant and friendly and service-minded hotel.
