Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana

Couple of drinks in a day trip along Rio . Beautiful expérience, drinking cold drinks on a hot day near the beach sidewalk and avenue . Dream comes true . Lots of Spaces around , you have to be very carefull when crossing because you can encounter bycilists or cars .. and they don’t watch over you .

This hotel is in a dangerous location and the staff on face value, appear to be helpful; however this is not the case. I was robbed outside the hotel waiting for an Uber. The security guard was on her phone when the incident occurred and was not being vigilant. Rita Nascimento the manager on duty did not follow up with the police and blatantly lied to me. She told me that she would email me once matters had been dealt with. I waited a month and no reply. Communication with other managers Renato Ohira and Alina Arroyo who write these standard replies on this website, has not been productive or helpful. Guests staying at this hotel should be warned of the dangerous neighbourhood at check in. In addition, some signage should be posted in the hotel warning guests of these dangers. As a Diamond member, I have not felt supported by these managers.

Lovely hotel with nice, small pools and beautiful views from the sky top bar. "Breno" working in the morning breakfast buffet is the most smiling staff server to win over your heart- and his movie star good looks only add to his outgoing personality. He also speaks English and is more than willing to chat with you table side! Rafael is also top notch when seeing to your comfort and satisfaction at the hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel before in 2022 and loved it , so returned. However we were disappointed to discover that Gold Hilton status no longer allowed us access to the executive lounge - Diamond only! There is still a separate area for Gold at breakfast and we did get a room upgrade so we had side seaview. The staff were lovely & Breakfast had good options. The hotel is in good location. However we were further disappointed to discover that rooftop pool and lounge closed for maintenance for a week. We were not advised prior to arrival so we feel that hotel’s lack of openness about this means we will not be returning.

Rafael who works at Isabel Lounge inside of Hilton is phenomenal, always very pleasant and nice to everyone. He exceeds the guests expectations by going above and beyond. Additionally, he is a great example of providing the best hospitality of the world.
