Hilton Rio de Janeiro Copacabana

Requested high floor ocean view and got it. The welcoming was very smooth, we spend time in the pool and spa on the roof top till room was ready. Room was clean and beds were extremely comfortable, view was just breath taking. Amazing wonderful Yami breakfast with many options, tables offers ocean view as well. Hotel location was great, near all at station/Posto 2 in Copacabana, hotel offer great security in and out of the hotel would definitely go back. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

This would be a 3.5 star hotel anywhere else. The room is a nice size with a good view but decor and amenities are barebones no frills and dated (especially the bathroom). There wasn’t even an upgraded shower head…it was something out of the 70s. Service at the hotel was also mediocre. Long lines at check-in and check-out with no personalized service whatsoever. No help with bags or loading and unloading from the uber.

My second home here, so maybe my review is not so attendible =). Anyway, the Hilton Copacabana is an iconic hotel in the begin of Copacabana Beach, the most famous beach of the world. You can get there with 31 steps (I counted). 500 rooms, so many people and a lot of crawed, but you also have 40 floors and from the top floor you have amazing views of all Rio de Janeiro. The rooms are dated but well maintened. The staff is amazing, everyone speak english (at least a basic one) and anyway they try to make understand and help you (brazilian people are amazing). You can eat inside in two restaurant and food is good even not so vary, but all around there are plenty of choices. Breakfast is huge and good quality, but some things should be improved. You can have a beach service that is pretty good with a small chair (brazilian style) and a towel. next to the are there is a small bar (Barraco) where you can buy caipirinha or other drinks and some food. If you prefer to stay inside the hotel, you can choose between a swimming pool on 4th floor and an amazing one, but small, on 40th floor.The second best part of the hotel is the wonderfull rooftop bar with a wow factor for the best view of Rio de Janeiro. here you can eat and drink (but you should add more variety) The best is the staff: always smiling, trying to help you, and they are really happy to see you enjoy your time with them. I love them.

The location of this hotel is 'Pole Position' for the Copacabana beach. As a diamond guest, I was received and shown into the Executive lounge, a very nice touch and very efficient, very few Hiltons in the world make this gesture, it is a very nice touch. Lovely staff in the exec lounge, lovely décor and furnishings - old school exec lounge the way it SHOULD BE - other Hiltons should take note It is a very nice lounge great location for people watching on the ground floor looking out to the beach. Also the hotel General manager 'Cedric' gave a personal welcome, a nice touch I thought. The breakfast served, absolutely excellent, one of the best I have experienced and they have a diamond and gold guest reserve area, brilliant idea, very few Hiltons do this, excellent – lovely touch. The breakfast staff all were very good and attentive and the food selection is really great Room quality was OK, a little tired and needed some minor maintenance doing, but bearing in mind the hospitality industry suffered worse than any other industry during covid. One can understand that it will take a long time to 'catch up' - but the room was fine - no real complaints, indeed you can tell that ‘back in the day’ a lot of money was spent on that room and the quality still shines through. The open air pool and restaurant/snack bat fourth floor, very nice staff – reasonable prices very good – but the pool temperature wayyyyyyyy tooooooo hot far too hot, I am not sure if that is a Brazilian thing or not?? But is was like getting into a bathtub. Pool hygiene seemed to be very high, so a job well done for the pool maintenance team. Roof top bar – one of the VERY BEST I have encountered around the world – excellent staff, very good value for money – again a job well done and your staff should be thanked. We enjoyed our stay there and hope to come back in the near future. All in All one of the better Hiltons in the world, the USA Hiltons should take note, no dumbing down here, and rip off prices, this is a great value for money hotel; I have all but stopped using Hiltons in the USA they have dumbed down so much, they are no longer that special and their prices charged are not justifiable. Yet here in Rio De Janeiro, the Hilton Copacabana, still flies the Hilton Flag High and Mighty - Old School Hilton style and tradition - keep up the good work Well done Cedric and your team

The stay was first rate, view from our room on 35 floor of beach amazing !! The staff were so organised and friendly. A special mention to the manager I met in the lift on my way down to buy an electrical adapter, he sent one to our room within 2 mins no charge !! Breakfast was very good and the whole stay wonderful, we do not recognise some previous reviews and would thoroughly recommend.
