This Miramar by Windsor is in an excellent location, it’s spotlessly clean, the staff are so helpful, the breakfast was fantastic, the pool and pool bar were lovely and the showers in the room were so wonderful. Nice touches like chocolates in the room every day and a fresh bottle of water. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again. You can hear some noise from other rooms but nothing too bad. If you are a light sleeper maybe take ear plugs. We had an ocean view room and it was so lovely. We are lucky enough to holiday often and this hotel was of top quality and easily compares to other 4 and 5 star hotels.

Perfect location, extensive and delicious breakfast, beautiful room overlooking Copacabana Beach, and friendly and helpful staff. A special thank you to João Marcelo Pais, the hotel’s Butler, who spent over 2 hours helping us after our domestic flight from Iguazu Falls to Buenos Aires was cancelled due to the Argentina union workers’ transportation ground strike. João was extremely patient and indispensable during a stressful time, and helped us find another flight into BA on a later date (via São Paulo) which would hopefully not be cancelled since it was an international flight. Thanks, João! You were right and we successfully made it to BA. We are so grateful to you for saving our vacation!

Hotel was in a great spot opposite Copacabana beach. The hotel has chairs on the beach to use and a lovely rooftop pool with some loungers around it. There was also a bar here. The view was fabulous. Our room was lovely and looked onto Copacabana Beach. It was amazing watching sunrise and all the activity on the beach from this time. All the staff went out their way to be helpful. There was a great choice for breakfast with egg items to order at a separate station. We enjoyed the small restaurant on same side at end of street for an early dinner one night. We had no problems walking around the area either during the day or evening. Very comfortable hotel that I would return to.

Just spent 3 nights at the Miramar. Fantastic service from the welcome glass of sparkling wine to the taxi call for our departure. All the staff were friendly, accommodating and helpful. Our room on the 10th floor had a great view over the Copocabane beach with Sugar Loaf Mountain in the distance, although the furniture and ambience of the room was spotlessly clean with super soft towels, it is a little dated. The lobby area is a little small with a small bar, but again the service is first class and really does make you feel comfortable. The rooftop swimming pool, gym and bar area is a little gem for the hotel, giving great views and three areas for lounging and catching the sun. If choosing to stay here, make sure you book the breakfast as it is outstanding for quality, variety and service. We had struggled to find a decent restaurant for a steak in the Cococabana area as most of the bars/restaurants are just tourist traps not interested in either good service or quality food, yet wouldn't you know, The Miramar restaurant where we ate on our last night was superb, both in service and quality of food and wine. We had the rib-eye steak, cooked medium to perfection along with a lovely Argentinian Malbec. I also had a dessert to die for, which clearly the staff were proud of and served with a flourish and clear pride, fantastic! If dining at the Miramar, save room for dessert! All in all, I would recommend a stay at The Miramar for a value 5 star hotel in Cococabana, where service, god food and wine is what The Miramar excel in.

The best things about this hotel could be summed up in 2 words - Location and Breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights at this hotel and chose it specifically for its location. We considered staying in Ipanema or Leblon but decided against staying because we couldn't walk to good restaurants or be in the middle of the action. We loved out beach-front room. It had an excellent clean view of the beach, had a little cove area with windows with a direct view of Sugarloaf mountain. The breakfast was outstanding - a HUGE spread. I couldn't think of anything that the spread was missing. It was probably the best breakfast spread I've seen of all the hotels we've been to.
