We just returned from 5 days at Chable Maroma and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff is beyond exceptional. I would say they are the best feature of the resort. Service is fantastic from arrival to restaurants and the pool. They are always willing to accommodate any and all requests and are extremely helpful and friendly without being overbearing. The hotel location is beautiful. The water at the beach is a bit rough due to the wind (at least during our stay) but the pool was amazing. Despite the hotel being 50% booked, the pool was always quiet and empty so it felt like we had the place to ourselves most of the time. Our room - a serenity pool villa was completely private and quiet. Note - we were in room 408 which is the closest to the pool/restaurants/beach with no other villas nearby - so I can’t speak to the privacy of other villas where several rooms are grouped together. We ate only at Kaban and the Raw Bar - as we are not Michelin restaurant folks so didn’t visit Buul. The menus are great with a lot of variety, but I will say if you’re looking for snacks or small bites, you will be disappointed. There are no snacks in the villa mini bars nor does the boutique sell any. Also - the restaurants don’t really offer anything just to nibble on. A suggestion would be to stop at the grocery store at the Cancún airport and pick up a few before heading to the hotel. Also - the hotel is somewhat isolated, so it’s not a quick trip to visit a store offsite or to dine at other locations. Just something to keep in mind. Also - you are in a jungle-like environment so be prepared for some wildlife. We encountered snakes, iguanas, raccoons, coatis, frogs, spiders, and a giant beetle….along with some beautiful but loud birds. Overall - i would highly recommend this resort and hope to go back again soon.

Sad to say it has the shell of a 5 star hotel but doesn’t deliver on what they hype. They bill themselves as the #2 resort in the Americas and if you’re going to be that’s bold then deliver. They promise seclusion and privacy and yet during our stay they rented the property out for a photo shoot for some clothing brand. They popped up and turned a very tranquil resort into a bit of a circus. From the pool to the spa, they were everywhere. Relaxing at the spa to have people with cameras shooting around you is not a 5 star experience. Notes were left referring to me as Mrs., and then my name spelled wrong, which as a gay couple always rubs me the wrong way and makes me realize the resort is just going through the standards. There were some other minor things, but the one thing the resort gets right is just saying Sorry over and over. It all feels a bit empty. The staff was very nice, but seems the management doesn’t have a clear vision for service. The resort is physically beautiful but the property does not deliver to the level they promote themselves. The response that nobody wants to hear in the end is sorry and we will work hard to fix this for future guests. That’s what you will hear when something goes wrong. They won’t do anything to try tor solve any issues in the present, just empty apologies

We stayed at Chablé Maroma over New Year’s, expecting a luxurious and relaxing 5-star experience, but unfortunately, the reality fell far short of this standard. While the staff were consistently friendly and tried their best, the overall service did not meet the expectations of a high-end hotel. The rooms were a major disappointment. They are dark and situated in buildings with one room stacked above the other, leading to significant noise from the rooms above—far from the tranquil and relaxing ambiance one hopes for. Privacy was also an issue, as the pathways run very close to the rooms, contributing to both noise and a lack of seclusion. Although the rooms appeared clean at first glance, there were spider webs under the bathroom vanity, and the bed linens did not smell fresh. Additionally, the decor felt cold and impersonal, missing the warm and inviting touch you’d expect from a hotel of this caliber. The dining experience was another letdown. We attended the New Year’s Eve dinner, which was described as a grand celebration but turned out to be underwhelming. The evening began with a cocktail party, which we anticipated would include lively music, creative drinks, and small bites. Instead, it was just an ordinary bar experience with average bites being passed around. The Maya ceremony that followed was pleasant but very brief. The dinner itself—a three-course meal served in a tent on the beach—was incredibly basic, with uninspired and poorly executed food. Despite the live band and DJ trying to set the mood, the evening lacked energy and felt quite boring. We also dined at the hotel’s Bu’ul restaurant, where the experience was equally disappointing. The service was painfully slow, taking over 30 minutes just to order drinks, and the food—particularly the meat—was poorly cooked and of low quality. We spent three and a half hours at the restaurant and left deeply unsatisfied. The Kaban restaurant, where we had lunch, fared slightly better, but the food was still far from refined or memorable. The hotel facilities were similarly underwhelming. The pool and beach are beautiful, but beach service was slow, and we often had to wait a long time to place an order. The concierge service was another sore point; when we asked for restaurant recommendations outside the hotel, they could not provide a single suggestion and instead directed us to OpenTable—something we could easily have done ourselves. Turn-down service was often forgotten, and we had to remind them several times. Finally, on our last morning, I planned to use the gym but found it closed without any explanation. The gym itself is outdated and quite small, which was disappointing. There were also issues with wine service—bottles were often not served at the correct temperature, and overall attention to detail in this regard was lacking. In comparison, our previous stay at Chablé Yucatán was a world apart, offering a truly refined and luxurious experience. Chablé Maroma, unfortunately, did not live up to the same standard. While the staff were unfailingly kind and polite, the lack of quality service, attention to detail, and overall experience made our stay disappointing. This was not the 5-star experience we were hoping for, and I cannot recommend it based on our visit.

We kicked off our holidays at Chable Maroma. It was the most magical magnificent memory making holiday for our family. Service supreme, food fantastic, beach is the best, spa is spectacular, lending library, room relaxing luxurious and comfortable.
