Aleph Hotel Rome is a departure from the traditional Roman retreat. Designed by the renowned Adam Tihany, this former bank turned hip hotel is ultra-contemporary, spotlighting three distinct layers of public spaces that have made it a popular gathering spot. Its location, adjacent to the Via Veneto and just a short jaunt from Piazza di Spagna, also makes it one of the city's most desirable destinations. Nearby are sophisticated shops, sidewalk cafes, celebrated museums and many public works of art.

Stayed recently and had a wonderful time. Room was spacious, even with a cot made up for our son. Breakfast was delicious. The rooftop pool was peeeerfect in this hot weather after a long day of sightseeing (just note it's only open until 6). The staff was helpful and kind. It's in a great location to get to many major sites - be aware it is a few buildings away from the US Embassy and this caused several street closures while we were there. It never interfered with our transport, though. It feels very much like a high end place.

My wife and I booked a suite at this hotel and were very disappointed. For the money we paid we expected a much better experience. The main bathroom floor flooded every time you had a shower and the TV turned itself off every 5 minutes or so - even after we had told reception. We asked for a small amount of milk to accompany the tea/coffee facilities in the suite which then took 25 minutes to arrive after a follow up phone call. Very disappointing and not what we expect as Hilton Honours members. My advice is to find another hotel in Rome.

We are three ladies who have worked hard to get to the top of our professions so are well able to afford ourselves a treat or two. We don't mind paying for these treats, even if they are expensive, but we expect to get something worthy of the cost. Hilton should be ashamed of this offering. We were looking for a good location to spray the day by the pool. We were told over the 'phone that we couldn't book, so we arrived at opening time, 10am, to be sure to get three sun beds together. We were told that we could only have chairs, not poolside, but hey ho, we were there, so settled for that. We were quoted 120 euro including water, a cocktail and one course from the menu. Look at the prices. Look what I got. My burrata and heirloom tomato salad was laughable. It was supposed to come with "rustic bread crostini" which turned out to be packet croutons. No sign of basil or balsamic vinegar reduction either. 4 tiny, I mean tiny, pieces of cheese which may or may not have been burrata, there was hardly enough to take a dna sample. One of my friends couldn't eat the chicken in her Caesar salad as it tasted fishy. They forgot the bread, which eventually arrived including gluten free for one of us. The service was charming, I think the staff was embarrassed, I would be, as they didn't charge for a couple of drinks (also highly priced, 12 euro for a half of beer???) It would have been 1 star if not for that. The pool is small, but ok to sit around in, no Olympic lengths! Sooo disappointed!

★★★★☆ (4/5) We had a wonderful stay at the Aleph Rome and would happily return. It’s in a fantastic central location, making it easy to explore all of Rome’s major attractions on foot or by taxi. Our room was absolutely superb—beautifully appointed, spacious and very comfortable. We travelled with our 15-year-old son, who was delighted to have his own separate space, which made our family stay even more enjoyable. The rooftop pool is a real highlight and a lovely place to relax after sightseeing. However, it was extremely difficult to secure a reservation, and despite trying several times, we weren’t able to use it, which was disappointing. The spa and gym facilities are excellent. I had a massage during our stay, which was one of the highlights of the trip—professional, relaxing and a wonderful experience. Breakfast each morning was outstanding. There was an excellent selection of fresh food, everything you could want, and the service from the breakfast team was exceptional. Room service, however, was a little inconsistent. The food itself was average, and on more than one occasion items were forgotten from our order. We also found that one of the hotel’s lifts was out of service throughout our stay, which sometimes meant a wait. Overall, the Aleph offers a very enjoyable four-star experience rather than a true five-star one. The excellent location, beautiful rooms, fantastic spa and outstanding breakfast more than make up for a few operational shortcomings. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a stylish and comfortable base in the heart of Rome.
