There isn’t a better immersion in the glory days of the Roaring Twenties than Grand Hotel Palace – part of the collection of – a regal mainstay on Rome’s famed Via Veneto. The white columned façade bears a hint of the Colosseum, but inside the wrought iron gate is an homage to Bohemian Rome. Architect Marcello Piacentini’s thoughtful design showcases floor-to-ceiling frescoes of bygone society, while marble floors and Murano crystal chandeliers retain a sense of timelessness.

I am so grateful to Ylenia who manages Group and Individual Reservations! I accidentally clicked twice and reserved two non-refundable Superior twin rooms for me and my father. I promptly received an email Ylenia asking me if I meant to reserve one seperate room each for my father and myself as well as for clarification if I wanted the rooms to be adjoining as I had also asked for additional requests according to the room tips on reviews here (4th or 5th floor with baloney and bathtub). I had not caught my double booking mistake and would not have known if Ylenia had not contacted me!! Thank you Ylenia! To be honest, I was a bit apprehensive when I booked this hotel as I saw that the most recent reviews here were critical of the 5 star status compared to their experience staying at the hotel. As I am traveling in December, there are currently many hotels with great deals, however my father was excited about the Grand Hotel Palace Rome. This is our first time visiting Rome as well as a first abroad father-daughter trip. I also hesitated when I booked on whether to choose the slightly pricer refundable option or not. I regretted choosing the non-refundable option when I realized my mistake. However thankfully Ylenia graciously replied that that they would cancel my reservation and submit a refund! I really appreciate the excellent customer service and attention to detail. It would have been a very pricey mistake as well as a sour start to our trip to have accidentally double booked. I look forward to staying at the Grand Hotel Palace Rome and wanted to acknowledge the help I received even prior to arriving. I’m looking forward to my stay.

Definitely not a 5 star hotel. It’s at best a 3 star hotel. Hotel is tired and not to a five star level for sure. Some staff were friendly but most are just filling time. We have 2 rooms as a family and both Bathrooms smell of must and mold. Not what we expected at all.

A travel agency booked us at this hotel for our honeymoon. The reception staff were friendly at check in, providing us a map with thorough directions to major locations. The room was clean and had everything we needed, including a nespresso machine. The air conditioning works great, which was nice to come back to after hot days! We reserved times at the spa onsite for a massage and the jacuzzi/pool, which were both nice. We had a 3 course meal at the restaurant (see photos), which was delicious. The daily breakfast was more than adequate. There’s a little terrace for afternoon drinks. The staff had no trouble calling taxis for us, and they were so nice at breakfast and dinner. Location is walkable to restaurants, Trevi fountain, and the Spanish steps; not bad taxi drives to the train, Colosseum, etc.

This was our second stay at this Hote, having stayed in 2019 before boarding a cruise. This time we decided to stay at this Hotel before boarding our cruise. We certainly do not regret the decision to again stay at this Hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and has a great location, walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, other attractions and close to stores and restaurants. The staff were indeed friendly and helpful. The Room had a beautiful big bathroom, plenty of lights in the room, and a small charging cube on the nightstand that you could plug usb cords, etc. into. Perfect for charging our iphones, apple watch, ipad, etc. We had a large balcony outside our room. The other smaller rooms allocated to the rest of the family were also well appointed and clean. Overall, We were happy to again stay at the Hotel and if we were again ever to travel to Rome I would certainly opt for this hotel and also recommend to others .

We were at this hotel as part of our Perillo Tour. This was the first hotel in our 10 day tour. We spent 3 nights at this hotel. It is a beautiful hotel and we found the hotel to be in a great location, walking distance to the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain (about 15 mins.), other attractions and close to stores and restaurants. The staff was very friendly and helpful, granted we were with a tour group, but I did see the staff with other guests and they appeared to be very helpful and friendly. One of the things I loved was the fact that our room had a beautiful big bathroom, plenty of lights in the room, and a small charging cube on the nightstand that you could plug usb cords, etc. into. Perfect for charging my iphone, apple watch, ipad, etc. The hotel has a small bar and decent sized restaurant. We had breakfast there each morning and one evening, when we had dinner on our own, we ate there. The food was very good. Overall, a very good experience and if we were ever to travel to Rome again on our own, I would definitely consider this hotel.
