Reviews for Hotel Raphael, Rome

Outstanding Experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I really enjoyed my stay at the Hotel Raphael. The rooms are vey clean and comfortable (I had a Richard Meir Executive Deluxe room). It was a little smaller than I had thought, but still very nice and the furnishings, comfort and housekeeping were excellent. The service at the hotel is outstanding. Everyone I encountered was welcoming and had a customer service attitude--going out of their way to be helpful. I wish I could remember all of their names, some were Angelica, Isabella and Ricardo, but I almost feel bad naming just a few as everyone was so pleasant and helpful. The location of the hotel is perfect to explore Rome. Almost any site was no more than a 20 minute walk, with many sites much closer. I had breakfast at the hotel each morning and it was outstanding as well. A great selection of fresh food in the buffet area, or you can get some things (such as an omelette, pancakes, etc.) prepared for you. I asked if they had oatmeal (porridge) and while not on the menu they made it for me one morning. Many of the days they had a harpist in the breakfast dining room which was so nice. One very minor suggestion--try to keep small bills and coins to make change for guest who take money out from ATM's (generally the ATM's dispatched €50 notes and I needed smaller notes/coins for tips) but very minor item. I truly enjoyed the hotel and would highly recommend it. The hotel team is terrific and I appreciate the kindness shown to me on my visit,

A truly 6 star experience.

OUTSTANDING. Words just can't describe the 6 star service and experience we were provided during a very short stay.Emma,Tanya and management made this stay one that will live in our memory for many a year. When we are in Rome we always stayed at another very famous 5 star hotel & it is has always been excellent. However the Bio hotel Raphael Rome just blew the other hotel out of the water. The Raphael is now where we will stay every time without fail.I could go on and on about the service, food, attention to detail etc etc however i fear that the praise they deserve just wouldn't stop or be anywhere near enough. Thank you Emma for all your understanding at the time of booking, for the amazing suite and for your incredible compassion, understanding and professionalism. A six star experience all round. Rome at its very best - a treasure from the staff to the facilities

This is a hotel that will truly surprise and delight you in every possible way. I made a last minute (same-day) reservation to change hotels ahead of a wedding and was received with a smile, an upgrade, gorgeous cannele pastries in the room, and a true sense of warmth and welcome, especially from Angelica and her front desk team who were incredible hosts throughout my stay. The rooms, while classically furnished, are immaculately kept with thoughtful touches and amenities (think a steamer for clothing, every type of toiletry, nice complimentary chocolate and sweets) that mean you don’t want for anything. The bed, my goodness, I don’t want to ruin the surprise but it is hard to leave. Breakfast is unbelievable, with true five star service, a harpist, and delicious varied food. The common areas are also very thoughtful, with beautiful board games, complimentary espresso, and generally social spaces that folks were actually using throughout my stay. The location also couldn’t be better, tucked away in a quiet corner of Piazza Navona but in the middle of everything. I can’t wait to return and am so appreciative of staff for their gracious service.

Beautiful just watch out for the seagulls

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

After watching One Day on Netflix visiting this hotel was on my bucket list during our recent long weekend in Rome. What a beautiful hotel, unfortunately we didn't stay her as would have been slightly out of our budget but visited the roof top bar and shared a bottle of prosecco and had complimentary canapés. What a beautiful setting, view and staff were so attentive. The only downside were the seagulls which seemed to be an attraction with other guests getting selfies with them just not something I expected in Rome see enough of them backhome
