Set in the heart of Rome at the start of the Via Veneto, Hotel Sina Bernini Bristol has been welcoming guests in grand style since 1870. Recently restored to its original grandeur, it maintains the glorious traditions of the past with an exquisite collection of elegant, European-style guest accommodations. Magnificent lounges filled with antique furnishings offer views over Tritone Fountain, while the Mediterranean and international cuisine served at L'Olimpo restaurant delights the most demanding of gourmands.

We together with 2 friends had a one night stay on 24 October. We arrived at the hotel by taxi and were greeted by the staff who took the 4 cases into the lobby. I took my back pack from the taxi driver, tipped him, and went into the lobby to check in. I put my back pack with the cases. Having checked in I turned round to find the cases had been moved by the staff pending delivery to our rooms. The back pack was not with the cases. It transpired it had been stolen. The next day I reported the loss to the local police. I informed the reception and handed them a copy of the police report to give to the concierge. The staff confirmed CCTV cameras operated in the area. Despite repeated attempts by myself to ascertrain whether the camera footage revealed any relevant information the management have been uncooperative in this regard. To my knowledge they have not attempted to contact me.

We only stayed one night but we really enjoyed the hotel. Great lobby and reception area with lovely staff. We were shown to our room very promptly and our room was beautifully decorated. The bed was HEAVENLY, linens divine and lots of room which was surprising for Rome. The bathroom was also large, you could mistake the bathroom for being slightly dated but the beautiful marble I thought was stunning. The shower cubicle on the other hand is rather tight! Located fairly centrally, perhaps a good 15/20 minutes walk to the historical part of Rome. We would definitely recommend.

Excellent hotel! Concierge and Front Desk were so helpful. Bar wasn’t amazing atmosphere but it was a typical hotel bar. Suite 427 was updated and lovely although a bath in the bedroom was a little strange I have to admit! We ate at Tullio just around the corner, fabulous. When we return to Rome we will stay here again! Yeah, hot water went out, we were there, they are old buildings, so ….we showered before dinner

I am at this hotel now. I was excited to try this property as its in a central location in Rome. It has not been a good stay in any way. Here's why: 1.) They completely lost all hot water for the hotel all day yesterday from early morning. They didn't get a plumber working on the problem until 5pm that day, and, as a result, the problem wasn't solved until late last night meaning I had to take a second cold shower for dinner yesterday. There is no excuse for this lack of problem solving ability given that this hotel is owned by Marriott, the biggest hotel operator in the world. 2.) I was awakened be a fire alarm this morning with a sound that was so piercing you had to cover your ears. It took them 10-15 minutes to re-set the false alarm. Every guest on my floor was in the hallway wondering what to do. No announcement was made. Again, poor execution. 3.) The rooms are tired and in desperate need of renovation. 4.) In order to be a 5 star hotel the property must poses a functioning spa. This "spa" was non-functioning. It was a tired relic of a spa. There was no staff. There was no slippers or robes in the lockers in a tired and very small changing room. There was no water in the Jacuzzi. The sauna was set to a temperature that was so low it was about as hot as walking down the street in Rome in June. I couldn't even break a sweat. There was no way to adjust it higher. The steam room was a similar situation. This is a 4 star hotel (at best) masquerading as a 5 star hotel. Marriott should be ashamed to be running a property like this in their portfolio.

This hotel is so nice. Very luxurious! We stayed 5 nights in October. They had turn down service with chocolates and slippers by our bed. They were very helpful when we had questions! The rooftop bar was so pretty. Spend some time there. I promise you will love it.
