About the Hotel

Five-star luxury for the Ambasciatori Palace in via Vittorio Veneto, an elegant window facing the Eternal City. In an enviable location, the hotel blends the magic of traditional hospitality with contemporary elegance. Known as 'Ambassadors' Palace', it was originally built in 1903 and it has been the location of international affairs between diplomats from the nearby Embassies and a witness to the excitement of the mundane 'Dolce Vita'. The welcoming and aristocratic atmosphere of the Ambasciatori Palace combines with exclusive services provided and a careful attention to technology and comfort. The 152 rooms are bright, spacious and finely furnished, decorated in soft colors and aristocratic textures. The elegant business center includes several multipurpose rooms of different sizes, some with natural light and overlooking via Veneto. The main hall is housed in the ballroom. The Ambasciatori Palace is the ideal place for an unforgettable stay among the most legendary historical-artistic monuments and the elegant shopping streets of Rome.

Reviews for InterContinental Rome Ambasciatori Palace

Phenomenal

The staff is so helpful. Amazing. The Concierges (lucrezia, in particular) have helped with everything from getting us the correct chargers/adapters for our phones and watches but also making for recommending restaurants and making reservations. The doormen produce cabs quickly when asked. The service at NYC Scarpetta is phenomenal. And the food us excellent. The wait staff is extremely attendant in a really good way. Our waiter, Leonardo, was particularly good today. Then, five minutes after we returned to our room we got a call from the front desk: we had left a small bag containing valuables in the restaurant. It had been places in the hotel’s office for safety. Our passports were in that bag! The hotel is everything we might have imagined. Beautiful interiors. We have a lovely junior suite (an upgrade). Enough said. We love this hotel.

Location is perfect!

This is the hotel picked for our incentive trip. It has been fantastic. Great location. Excellent breakfast. Awesome staff. Would recommend! Hop on hop off bus tour is close. You can easily walk to most landmarks here in Rome. Hard Rock has daily happy hour right next door as well as the wonderful roof top bar, Charlie’s. Mariana is the next Jr Champion Bartender and she has been wonderful!

A classical retro experience, not bad

The hotel seems to adhere to the traditional service level and atmosphere of the traditional Intercontinentals. At breakfast time the restaurant was full of attentive servers. The pecking order amongst them was classical. When I asked for another cup of coffee, the process of delegating the work to a server low enough for the duty took some time, perhaps 20 minutes or so. But these days you do not confront that work culture that much any longer, so it was rather more amusing than annoying. For someone catching a breakfast at fast pace, to make an appointment, the situation could be troubling. Connections with city busses function well, in both directions. But please note the near-by metro station down the street appears to have no escalators or lifts to the street level. Walking up the stairs with luggage can be painful. I only had a trolley Being "ambassadot" at the IHG customer programme, I was assigned a room on the second floor, which is not ideal for a street view towards Via Venetto. The window was jusy above restaurant vending stalls at the street level. If they are associated with the hotel. no idea. If possible, try to avoid street view rooms on that floor. The hallways of that floor had a dark catacombe atmosphere. First upon arrival from the lift, I did not see anything, but soon acclimitized. I made the booking only hours prior to entering, so I got what was available. This was a somewhat spontaneous flight to Rome. The hotel appears to have no exec lounge. At least I was not told that one would exist. I stayed two nights.

This is one of our favorite hotels! The staff is absolutely amazing—attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile. Our stay has exceeded all expectations, and they have accommodated every request with ease. From the excellent service to the welcoming atmosphere, everything has been perfect. We will definitely be returning in the fall and can’t wait to experience it all over again!
