Excellent place to unwind, devious food, amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and managers, the ambiance is elegant.

Excellent Resort , Staff is friendly and extremely helpful. Rooms are satisfactory could use a little attention just getting a little dated. The amenities are exceptional if you do not have a good time here it is on you.

We had a great time at Jewel Paradise cove in Tunaway Bay. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We did Janice's ladder challenge and survived! She was the sweetest! The only problem I had was the bed was too firm for my liking. I had a great massage done on site at the spa. Make sure to make a reservation ASAP

Went to the Jewel Paradise cove for a girls trip and it was great it was my first time ever in Jamaica and I’m glad I was able to experience such good people they all were very accommodating and pleasant. I would definitely go back. It is a little bit of a drive from the airport but still worth it.

We just returned from our fifth trip at Jewel......feel free to read my previous reviews! We were there Aug 25-Sept 1. We used Tomeik Christie from Reggae Island Tours for our transportation to the hotel and as always, he provided the best service. He ensured we had some cold Red Stripe and we were able to make a few stops along the way. He's such a great guy, now a good friend and there's no one else we'll use for all our transportation/excursion needs. You can find him on FB!! Once we got to the hotel, we were welcomed home, and remembered by all. While checking in, we got a nice cold cloth and a yummy rum punch! We have a favorite room that we requested and it wasn't quite ready but I didn't mind, I was just happy we got our favorite room. We were able to leave our bags to go enjoy the resort...and meet up with friends who planned their trip to overlap with ours. We walked around to say hi to many of the staff we've come to love. It wasn't too long before our room was ready and again it was Donovan who escorted us to it. And like before, he often checked in throughout the week to see how we were doing/asked if there was anything we needed. As did Roan. Both guys are great!! Even though Chef Fredrick was on vacation, I found the food at the buffet, where we prefer to eat, to be really good this week. Lots of great options!! Service at the buffet was as usual, top-notch by all staff. Hubby did get his jerk pork which is always so good and we also ate at the grill a few times. Highly recommend the jerk wrap!!! Late-night hot dogs with fries hit the spot, too! We normally love the main pool but on this trip, we spent a lot of time in the Emerald Lagoon pool/bar with the lovely and beautiful Janice. This was the first time we hung out with her, while we've met briefly on past trips. It won't be the last. She's such a joy, and definitely a huge asset to Jewel. And yes, I completed the ladder. Ask her about it, it's a fun challenge! I have to give a huge shout-out to Jonoy!! He again brought us out on the Hobie Cat to the beach down the road, the former Jewel Runaway Bay, where we have some of our son's ashes. We were able to leave a few hot wheels cars and just take a moment to remember our visits there with him. Words cannot express just how much this meant to us, and the gratitude we feel for Jonoy taking us there!! Thank you, my friend!! We did the Booze Cruise with March and Kaylen ( sp ) and I highly recommend this excursion. ( book at watersports $$ ). Such fun to go out to the reef and snorkel. March also got us close to our beach, again touching our heart!! Then, we got to hang out at Flavors Beach with the other couple on our excursion, enjoying some cold beer! We did the piano bar one night and it was so much fun. The new ( to us ) gentleman, Elias Estick was so entertaining and got everyone participating! It's such a great time with lots of laughs! Highly recommend going up there to sing your heart out! Nickera once again was a joy to see every morning at the Irie Cafe. She remembered how I take my coffee and she always delivered service with a smile! While we didn't do the nature walk this visit, we always appreciate how beautiful the grounds are at Jewel. It's one of the reasons we keep coming back. Bring your own snorkel mask for the small beach. We saw so much marine life! Snorkeling during this trip was my favorite part! The Entertainment.....enjoyable as usual. And like always, The Silver Birds were awesome! That said...the BEST night was Tenshon Tenshon!!! Thank you so much Milton for booking him for me!! He is such an amazing singer/performer and I really hope you'll book him again when we return in Dec ( 11-18 ). No doubt, all the guests enjoyed him as much as I did! I also have to give thanks for the classic dancehall I got to hear and dance to several nights during our stay! Much needed and appreciated ;) I did do one water aerobics class with Nathan.....who not only led a great class, but throughout the week, we got to hang out a few times and he is one of the sweetest, funniest guys I've met! As per my previous review, I was happy to see that signs were added to the smoking area near the grill! Thank you! I've seen reviews lately that mention the lack of security and I have to shake my head! The security at Jewel is great!!! We sometimes smoke VERY late at night in the back corner/smoking area and always encounter security. Even if I was by myself ( if hubby was asleep ), I felt safe going out there by myself. Not only is there LOTS of security, but they are all friendly and will make sure you get back to your room safely if needed. We met many guests this week, some of whom we know from Jewel forums and it was such fun getting to know them face to face! We always meet new friends at Jewel who add to a fantastic trip!! OTHER STAFF SHOUT- OUTS!!!! Terry Ann aka bar from the drinks, drinks from the bar. This beautiful lady has a work ethic second to none. Girl can dance, too!! I wish I had half her energy....and I'm quite hyper, lol. She's always smiling and making the quests smile as well! Andre, Marlon, Shaunesse, Sheffan, Ryan, Raymond and his son Andre ( who's fairly new and makes a fantastic Bob Marley ) .....we got most of our drinks from these guys and the drinks were on point!! We appreciate that the majority of the time, we didn't even need to ask for what we wanted...they knew :) Rafoy needs a shout-out, too....he's very personable and always ensured we were looked after. Merric......I finally tried an omelet and it was so good. Due to an egg sensitivity, I haven't tried them until this trip but glad I took a chance and got one. So yummy. Hubby enjoyed his too. There's a reason Merric is mentioned often in reviews....go see for yourself :) Whitney ( watersports ), who is my absolute favorite person at Jewel. We had some great talks when she had a moment to spare and I just think she's an awesome, strong, funny and hard-working lady! Amoya at the gift shop as well as another lady, who in my tipsy state, forget her name....both are fantastic and provided superb service. Donovan, head bartender, and Fitzroy, head of service are 2 gentlemen who were a joy to see again. They are always looking out, ensuring Sam and I are happy and are enjoying ourselves. TJ....who we saw every morning at the Emerald Lagoon bar setting up. He's also a really great guy who I always enjoy talking to. ALL the staff are wonderful, I apologize if I left you out!! My review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Barbara Burton, the GM!! We saw her every day, engaging with not just us but with all guests and staff. We appreciate how approachable she is and how open she is to feedback. Thank you Barbara for everything and ensuring Jewel remains the gem that it is! The only negative I can mention....it was the HEAT, lol. We normally visit in June and December and I think we'll stick to those months as it was just a bit too hot for us. For some, the heat is a plus, though. Jewel simply feels like home to us and we are already booked for our December 2024 and June 2025 trips!! -Lee-Ann And Sam!!
