The hotel is one hundred years old and has some history but don’t be discouraged. Great location and it has everything to make for a wonderful experience. The spa technicians give the most wonderful massages, mud and herbal wraps and facials. The facilities are complete with an aerobics room for classes, weight room and an equipment room, three pools, sauna, steam room and cold plunge. There is a full hair and nail salon, and boutique. The restaurant was outstanding and there’s even a TIKI bar by the outside pool. Very comfortable rooms. I felt very pampered and restored after spending 6 days taking advantage of many different spa treatments.

First when I went to check in with Nicole at the front desk reception I was telling her that I wanted to stay till Sunday but there was no rooms available for Saturday night. Nicole said extremely loud and very rudely NO WE DON'T HAVE ROOMS ON FRIDAY AND SATURDAY BUGHT FOR FEMA PEOPLE. I ass like excuse me?; it was 9pm at night I was tired I just wanted to eat something and relax for the night I went to my room as soon as I open the door the room smelled like mold staying on the carpets water stains on the on the ceiling dirt on the floor during the in the wrong stains on the rug the furniture was chipped the furniture is dirty on a tub in the bathroom so I called you now the friendly reception desk and smoking to call you know the lovely rudest lady in the world and tell it it's you know it smells like mold really bad. Nicole says we'll we have no more rooms available. But if you go online there were plenty of rooms available. Nicole finally gets me into a better room no view which I specifically asked for when I made my reservation. I go to hear something up in the microwave because by time Nicole finally gets me into a room it's after 10pm Restaurant, bar room service closes at 10pm so i go to heat up some food in the microwave I'm hungry it's a long day and guess what there's no microwave in the room. I call Nicole she said it's $10.00 a day for a microwave. I said WHAT I was here. Couple of months ago and my room had a microwave. Well Nicole being Nicole the rudest nastiness reception says we'll not these rooms for FEMA guest. I'm going to talk to the GM in the morning and I'm also going to inform FEMA how Nicole and Safety harbor resort and spa treat their guest.

Unfortunately, a sad place that needs better staff training. It’s a resort where you have to request the room to be cleaned. Even on our 6 night stay, I called to have it cleaned 2x but it was done once. There’s a resort fee, but the amenities it offer either have to requested or was inconvenient to access. At check in, the reception agreed that the rooms smelled like mold and that receptionist started having respiratory problems since working there. As a Wyndham property, I expected it to be more professionally run. And as a Wyndham rewards member, there wasn’t any recognition or late check-out offer. As for the rooms, we had a large suite. The space was great, however, it was not clean. The dishes were just wiped down on one side while the back were left with disgusting food. Carpets had sand and food crumbs. The sofa bed literally had bagel pieces! I could go on. I would have left if we weren’t there for an event that lasted several days. The air vent filter was filthy. I brought it up once and nothing was done about it.

I had the best time on my self-care vacation! I highly recommend a week's vacation here for anyone who loves fitness! Mary S., the wellness director, took every measure possible to ensure that I had a wonderful experience, as she scheduled all of my services and made sure that the schedule was to my satisfaction. All of the classes were state-of-the-art, including yoga, Pilates, water exercises, stretching, etc. I want to also give a special shout-out to Lori P. for her excellent fitness assessment and personal training abilities. I also want to acknowledge John for his excellent "Total Body Conditioning", "Boot Camp", and "HIIT Boxing" classes. I really enjoyed the hot tub in the evening while unwinding from the days' events. The complementary bath robes and access to the locker rooms are most convenient. I will be back, for sure!

Safety Harbor Resort and Spa Google review Beverly Moody 1/5 6 minutes ago on Google We stayed here thru FEMA. Upon checking in, the front desk took a "look down your nose" attitude from the start. Was told housekeeping was not daily. If we needed something sooner to call down. Went to room. Called down for help with tv, never showed. We were there 8 nights..NOBODY knocked on door to ask if we needed anything. Put empty cups outside of room 3 days ago was there we we checked out today. For all their concerns we could have died in room and never found. The bar staff and other staff members were nice. When we checked out today was told they hoped we enjoyed stay. Wrong remark. Told them no, stated no housekeeping done at all. With a snarky tone was asked, well did you call down for housekeeping ? Replied no because we were told not every day. I guess cause we were booked thru FEMA we didn't matter. Lol was told we could use spa services while here....gee forgot my bathing suit while evacuating my destroyed home. Run like he'll from here or don't expect anything Page loaded.
