Vanity Fair calls Le Sereno a “flawless diamond in St. Barth’s,” and the moniker is well deserved: Perched on the Grand Cul de Sac, a private, reef-protected cove of Caribbean sand, the family-operated resort radiates effortless elegance. The spacious, airy suites and villas reflect the aesthetic of Parisian designer Christian Liaigre, whose past projects include the private residences of Calvin Klein and Karl Lagerfeld. Pros lead tennis and kite surfing lessons and superstar team of chefs helm Le Sereno Restaurant, where entrées such as maple-miso sea bass take center stage.

Had a fantastic stay at Le Sereno over New Year. A special thanks to Simone from the pool bar who was amazing and always served us with a smile and plenty of enthusiasm. Thank you for all the cocktails and champagne that you served us on our holiday. Natalie, Sam & Isabella

The best island hotel stay I have had. A beautiful smaller hotel that is a good foil to the larger resorts on the island. The staff was great, the perfect level of ‘touch’. Breakfast was good but not massive, and the staff was very flexible to requests. The setting at the pool is perfect and with a smaller number of chairs, service is easy to get. The cul-de-sac of protected sea water is great. Perfect for snorkeling and you can walk out forever, still standing. The guest services team was great. They arranged a boat day for us which was lovely. They were attentive via WhatsApp and reached out asking if we needed reservations or anything, but were never pushy. Booking a restaurant and a massage was very easy via WhatsApp Walking down the beach to Le Barthélemy and seeing Rosewood as well as Eden Rock… those are massive productions and Le Sereno is a perfect size. We did go on a down week right before the holiday busy weeks which was nice. The gym is very small, maybe the only negative. Overall — incredible stay, great hotel, great staff. Really impressed and will be back. Makes me want to visit Il Sereno as well!

We were three couples so we rented one of the hotel's private villas. The check in was very easy and the young friendly staff was eager to help. The property , located on a lagoon was very serene. Our villa was spread out into two buildings. One building had a master suite and the living / dinning rooms and the kitchen. The other building had the two other bedrooms. The downside is if it is raining, those in the other building will get wet coming to the main living area . We also had our own plunge pool which was very nice. The views from the villa were breathtaking. We had our own butler who prepared breakfast in the villa every morning and arranged everything we needed, including a massage therapist to come to the villa . Overall we had a wonderful time. A couple of the drawback are the beach. It is small and there is limited seating by the beach. Another draw back is that the hotel is far from many restaurants that we wanted to go. However if you are someone who want a couple of days of tranquility and get away from it all and relax, then I highly recommend this hotel. I give it my GoldnAdvice seal of approval.

Could not have had a better trip. Our room was stunning, and the views were even better. Literally the only note I have is that the couch on our patio faces back towards the beach, and facing it the other way provides a better view (so we just swapped it while we were there). The sheets and bedding were luxurious. The bathrobe was D. Porthault and maybe a little starchy for my taste, but makes sense for a beach spot. The entire staff was insanely attentive and accommodating. I have a gluten sensitivity, and was always provided alternative options for bread and pasta (and the bread was actually very good!) The location was about 15 minutes from the airport, and 20 minutes from Gustavia. We ended up renting a car a few days in since we were spending €100 round trip any time we left the hotel. Obviously you expect this a bit in SB, but we really wanted to explore the island, and went into town almost every night for dinner, so it just gave us more flexibility. The massages were also fabulous. There is not a full spa facility (that I saw) - meaning lockers, steam/sauna etc - but the treatment room was lovely, and I genuinely had one of the best massages of my life. The only snafu - on the day we were leaving, WINAIR cancelled all flights due to low wind and no one from the airline contacted us. We were actually on our way to the airport when the concierge sent us a message on WhatsApp to let us know they were canceling flights. They then went on to help us with options and we eventually got off the island that day on a private helicopter. Overall, it was a truly fabulous week, and we can't wait to go back.
