Carambola Beach Resort St. Croix

While the resort is in a picturesque setting with a good beach it is run down and needs upgrades. As a life long Marriott member, and Titanium for life, I found it disappointing. Rooms were not great and not representative on the website of reality. There are zero amenities - no concierge, gift shop or Spa - it’s advertised as a Spa and resort. If we wouldn’t have brought our own sunscreen we would have been out of luck. Fighting for a Gatorade every morning became my wife’s ritual. Lack of seating and service most days at the pool were unacceptable - 6ish chairs, zero beach towels and no attendants was ridiculous. Some of the staff, Lidia and Francesca were great. The reception staff all seemed to be more worried about their cell phones than guests.

The weather was perfect, the resort was in really good shape for the price, and the food and service were definitely above average. Special shoutout to Nisha — she was friendly, attentive, and made our meals even better. Would absolutely come back.

A server (Dienisha) at the bar was helpful and full of island knowledge and tips. My partner had swelling in her foot and the server recommended a plant that could reduce the swelling. She then went out and got a few leaves, told us how to prepare them, and use them. It worked! She was friendly and smiled the whole time. It was a wonderful experience. Thanks Nisha!

A great resort & stay in St. Croix! Our room was perfect and the location is fabulous. Nicholas at Saman was the very best - so kind, attentive & genuine. She truly cares about the guest experience and made our dinner fantastic.

Denisha (Nisha) did a great job with service, the group went to her section twice and she was great. This was the best service on the island. I wish her all the best. Thank you.
