DO NOT BOOK HERE, SPEND THE EXTRA MONEY FOR A GOOD TIME. THERE WERE DIRTY ROOMS, POOL WAS CLOSED (WITH NO WARNINGS), BUGS IN THE ROOM, NOT UPKEPT IT WAS MUD AND LEAVES EVERYWHERE. THE WORKERS ARE RUDE AND LACK KNOWLEDGE ON THE PROPERTY. WIFI WAS DOWN (THE ENTIRE TIME) AND THERE WAS NO CONNECTION OR SERVICE IN THE AREA THEY ARE LOCATED, THE WORKERS COULDNT EVEN TELL YOU WHEN IT WOULD BE BACK ON. IT ALSO TOOK 30 DAYS FOR A REFUND "GO TO DIVI BAY! "

This says it is a Marriott property but I doubt it. Even allowing for it being in the Island mentality it was poorly maintained. Shower didn’t work, pool had been closed x months but we were not told that, the parking was far removed from the units with infrequent golf cart assistance practically never.

What a dump. Never, ever stay here. Where do I begin? Our toilet needed cleaning, the wifi was slow and spotty, the food was horrible, they are understaffed, the only choice for breakfast was a horrible buffet for $32 per person, the pool was closed for repairs, the AC wasn't able to cool our room so I barely slept at night. Sleep in your car if you have to rather than stay here. Marriott should pull their franchise.

I am beyond furious with the disastrous stay we had at Carambola Beach Resort St. Croix, US Virgin Islands. From start to finish, this trip was nothing short of a nightmare, and I’m honestly shocked by how poorly this resort treated us. Let’s start with the most infuriating part: the pool. We specifically chose this place because of the pool, which was one of the main selling points for our vacation. Yet, when we arrived, we were told the pool was closed for maintenance. This was never mentioned when we booked, and I feel completely misled. We had no idea until we got there. They didn’t even apologize or offer any kind of compensation. We were stuck with no pool to relax by, and not even a decent explanation for why it was out of service. If this had been disclosed upfront, we would have booked somewhere else. It’s honestly unbelievable that they didn’t make this a priority to let guests know beforehand. Then there’s the staff. Rude, uninterested, and completely unhelpful. When we raised the issue of the pool being closed, all we got was cold indifference and barely a shrug. No apology, no attempt to make it right—just a dismissive attitude as if we were bothering them. The lack of professionalism here was astonishing. At no point did we feel like valued guests, only an inconvenience to the staff. But that’s not even the worst of it. We didn’t realize until we got home, but we ended up with bed bugs from our room. At first, we thought it was just mosquito bites or sand fleas, but after a closer look, it was clear we had been infested with bed bugs. I can’t even express how disgusting and horrifying that is. We contacted the resort to report this, and of course, they were completely dismissive. No apology, no offer to investigate or rectify the situation—nothing. We paid good money for this so-called "luxury" stay, and instead of relaxation, we got stress, discomfort, and even a bed bug infestation. I can’t even begin to describe how disgusted I am by the whole experience. I will never return to Carambola Beach Resort St. Croix, US Virgin Islands and strongly advise anyone considering it to stay far, far away. This was not just a bad vacation—it was a complete scam. The fact that they didn’t disclose a closed pool, treated us with complete disrespect, and allowed us to leave with a bed bug infestation shows just how little they care about their guests. I wish I could give this place zero stars. Save yourself the trouble and book somewhere else.

Almost all food is fried, if it’s not fried it comes with 100 flies on it. I lost 12lbs during my stay; usually I’m used to gaining a lb or two when I go on vacations like this. No internet, no pool, beach isn’t swimmable without snorkel gear. You have to basically beg the staff to serve you at lunch and dinner, they sit behind the bar on their phones in plain site of customers and refuse to move. The only thing nice about this place was the view. Wouldn’t come back if you paid me.

I purchased a package to the Carambola Beach Resort. We had the trip of a lifetime. Carambola was everything I had hoped it would be... exotically beautiful, complete with all the amenities we wished for and staffed with caring and committed people we can't wait to see again soon. Upon our return home we immediately went online and booked another Carambola Beach Resort in 2005.

My wife and I returned from our trip to The Carambola Resort on St. Croix about two weeks ago, and we haven't stopped dreaming of it since. The property was terrific, the food was excellent, and the hotel employees were gracious and helpful. Our room was right on the beach... the surf lulled us to sleep each evening and gently woke us in the morning. A wonderful getaway...
