About the Hotel

The shingled guesthouses of Belle Mont Farm are surrounded by an edible landscape. Acres of organically and sustainably grown pineapples, mangos and all manners of vegetables burst from the lush fields of this remote farm, and wandering guests often find the ripe ones marked with “pick me” signs. Newly opened as a resort in the Kittitian Hills Community, this Preferred Hotels & Resorts property, part of the Preferred Hotel Group, adds thoughtful touches to make it feel like home. After spending the day exploring St. Kitts, recline in a candlelit tub on the veranda, then watch a movie projected onto a pull-down screen – popcorn provided.

Simply amazing

This property is extremely charming, beautiful and immaculately maintained. The views are breathtaking. All staff were very friendly, polite and accommodating. The food was also amazing. I have no faults whatsoever with this resort. Highly recommended!!!

The highlight of our stay was the leisure and relaxation provided.

This was my fourth visit to Kittitian Hill, but my first stay at the resort. The exceptional service provided by all staff exceeded expectations, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a tranquil retreat and superior service.

Had High Hopes and That Were Not Met.

Oh my, this is going to be a hard review to write because this place looks so lovely online, and is a very cool property, but there were quite a few aspects that make for a sub-par stay. We were very excited to stay in the Luxury King Cottage with our own private pool. However, although it was 75-85 degrees outside, the pool remained so cold we could not even use it. It was very disappointing that it was not heated. The bathroom is completely outside, which is fun, however the shower ran out of hot water after 10 minutes! I had to take a cold shower after my spouse got the hot one. Thank goodness they provide robes! And there is NO WAY that you could fill up the bathtub with warm water. The mattress had some springs that made noise every time I sat down. I am sure this is because, like us, folks use the bed as a couch because there are no chairs (except the desk) in the room. It was VERY windy, so the curtains in the bath area were constantly blowing around, which was slightly annoying. And bring a baggie for your toothbrushes because we had little ants get in our toiletry bag (not to be unexpected in a room outside). There is no TV, but there is a large screen with a projector for Netflix. For $1234.00/night, everything should have been top notch. They also charged the final half of the room the day before we checked in, which I find a little tacky. About getting there and parking. Belle Mont is about as far away from anything else on the island, so it takes at least 40 minutes along very windy roads to get there. When you do turn in, another 1.3 mile “driveway” is so bumpy and poorly managed that you can’t go faster than 10mph. It is not fun at all. Parking was in a field far away from any cottage, so all transportation is done on golf cart or van. This meant that every time we left/arrived, we had to get someone to take us to our room. Because the roads are so bad, once we were done exploring for the day, we didn’t want to drive back down to town again in the pitch dark to eat, so we ate at The Kitchen all three nights. The one night we were going to go to Arthur’s (the only place remotely close), it poured down rain. The Kitchen is lovely, but formal, and there were only two or three other couples there every night. It was a little frustrating that you couldn’t just order a cheeseburger or sandwich. They did make us a pizza to take back to our room the last night, but they looked at us like we had three heads for doing so. For a place so remote, more dining options would be welcome. There is also no ice. So, every night we had to ask for a bucket of ice for the room. It was noisy because the rooms are so open. Nature is okay, but leaf blowing at 9:00 am next door one morning, and trucks buzzing up the road every 20-30 minutes starting at 7:30am the next day, is another. Eugene and Eulyn were lovely! There is a lack of direction/communication as to how the place works. If you ask different people, they tell you different things. I feel we would have gotten more of a feel for St. Kitts had we stayed more towards town or on the beach. I was trying to avoid the Resorts and have a unique experience, but this time it didn’t work out.

Simply Beautiful

It was suggested that during our time here in St. Kitts to make sure we check out Belle Mont. So I made a reservation for the Sunday brunch. The drive from Frigate Bay was around 42 minutes. We took a little longer because of many curves around the island. The drive was worth it. The place and views were stunning. We were greeted with smiles and fresh coconut water. The steel drum music also greeted us as we walked to our table. The buffet food was delicious. The food was very fresh. On the way we were able to tour a one bedroom cottage which was adorable. Considering coming back to stay a few nights.

The pictures on the website are nice, but they do NOT do this place justice.

WOW! What a magical place, I am still in shock! We stayed in the most beautiful cottage (I'm not going to say little because it was nearly the size of my house) complete with a full guest house next door. The private pool was beautiful and luxurious, and I will dream about those outdoor showers! I wasn't expecting the food to be so amazing, but everything tasted amazing (even down to the olive oil and the sugar!). The breakfasts are not to be missed, and if you go, you definitely have to get a meal at the Kitchen. They are really serious about Farm to Table. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone!
