About the Hotel
Crossing the threshold of Belmond Grand Hotel Europe in St. Petersburg is like walking into a film noir. It resonates with drama, seduction and a bit of suspense. The hotel dates back to the 1820s, but its interiors - retooled at the most recent turn of the century - embrace the Art Nouveau movement. History abounds within its walls. Tchaikovsky honeymooned beneath its storied roof and George Bernard Shaw broke bread here with Maxim Gorky. The hotel also served as a hospital and orphanage before its painstaking restoration went underway in 1989. Today, it is one of Russia's most prized landmarks and is acclaimed by travel editors worldwide.

Thanks to the tall man who works at the hotel entrance and carries the bags. He deserves all the appreciation and thanks
Everything about the hotel is nice, but the receptionists on the morning of November 9 treated me badly. The employee looked at me with contempt and disdain when I spoke to them. And she responded to me in a very bad way. Because I am a veiled woman. Throughout the stay, this employee and other receptionists were frowning at us and not welcoming us. If the hotel does not welcome veiled women, it should write this on the booking sites. Because we do not accept such bad treatment and racism!! And I would like to thank the employee at the Concierge on the same date in the evening. She was wonderful and respectful, and also the salon employees were polite, friendly and very cooperative. The breakfast buffet was beautiful and the service was excellent. And the staff are wonderful.

A superb hotel - traditional and modern at an excellent location
We've had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. Room was spacious with many extras, breakfast was excellent (even on the 10th day), and the staff was friendly and most efficient. We've also enjoyed the hotel's atmosphere as well as its great location close to many historical and cultural attractions at walking distance.

Awesome hotel
Really really nice hotel in the heart of st Petersburg . Loved the service , design , feel , lobby , suites , attention and care from staff . Everything was top notch , perhaps a bigger spa and gym would be nice but other than that a very very good classy stylish hotel .

Fantastic!
Everything was excellent:very comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and beautiful interiors of the hotel. New Year trees and Christmas decorations made an atmosphere of magic. it was great to have a glass of champagne in Lobby bar with live music. Personnel was always kind and helpful. and the location of the hotel is absolutely fantastic- in the heart of the city and just a step away from Russian Museum, Kazanskiy cathedral and Nevskiy. We're looking forward to visit again!

Splendid !
A very calm and luxurious place, wonderfully located near the Russian and Ermitage Museums. Gorgeous breakfast and very chic atmosphere without any fuss. We also appreciated the picture exhibitions in the lobbies and the overall beauty of the interior fittings of the hotel.
