Hotel Contessa

We enjoyed this hotel for the spacious suites and its location on the Riverwalk. The dinner food at the in house restaurant was good and our son liked the workout area and pool. It’s conveniently located to walk to many local sites. It was a good choice for our family to share Christmastime together and enjoy the beautiful lights on the Riverwalk.

My husband and I stayed there for a night away as new parents. When we got there the valet was nice. Front desk Nadja was polite and friendly. Our room wasn’t ready yet because it was pending an inspection and Nadja went to check on our room and get the inspection expedited. The bell hop AJ was super friendly and recommended some ice cream places for us to eat after dinner. The concierge Thurston was amazing to us!! He booked us a dinner reservation and got us a car for the night. We felt like royalty. The hotel also brought to our room a bottle of wine and charcuterie board for our weekend away/ anniversary. We also got room service and breakfast from Ambler’s. The food was fresh and delicious! My husband said the Reuben was the best he ever had! Everyone at the hotel was very attentive to us! We will be staying there again.

We loved the location. We were able to walk right out onto the Riverwalk. Close to the restaurants and other attractions. The food was great and the staff was friendly throughout the hotel. Definitely recommend it and would stay here again.

I was not given the option to stay in the city view room that I paid for because my room was not ready at 4pm, so I got downgraded without compensation. I was charged a junk fee for amenities. I tried to use your swimming pool that was supposedly heated, to I believe the website said 82 degrees. That was a lie, the pool was freezing. I don't think the pool was 62 degrees! If they're going to charge people junk fees for amenities, they could at least have the amenities in working order. I had to have maintenance come to my room at 10pm because the hot water didn't work. I was also charged another nonsense junk fee for paying with a credit card. Basically I was charged another junk fee for paying for the original junk fees with a credit card! I feel scammed and I would never even think about staying at this terrible hotel again!

The hotel was just beautiful for the Christmas holidays. The staff was so attentive and helpful in anything that we needed. We will definity stay again. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We had the suite and it was very comfortable for three ladies out for a Christmas girls weekend. The bar was lively and had the most beautiful music played by Mariachies.
