I have stayed at this hotel with my husband and kids several times. This stay was quite disappointing. For beginners the toilet in our room 1114 was disgusting dirty. We spoke to staff once and then the manager twice, it was until the 3rd day that finally I was a bit upset and talked to the manager again. We were told the toilet was stained. I want to believe it was just now cleaned. We arrived to see the parade by the riverwalk and were told by staff and again manager that you were only able to watch the parade if we bought seats $68 a seat, otherwise they would kick us out of the river walk $178 later we bought the seats, yo find that only the people in the hotel bought seats and people were sitting right next to us or behind us watching completely for free because no one was kicking anyone out. At checkout we noticed fees that didn’t belong to us, river tour for $160 not ours, we ordered three sodas for $15 charged it to our room, left a cash tip, noticed on our bill they had added a $12 tip for the three sodas even though we paid the tip in cash. It was very disappointing. I felt taken advantage of. Not our best experience with the hotel.

The hotel was very pretty and had a great location but had way too many issues for me to ever stay there again. The last night we were there, I was horrified to see an unopened box of candy, on the counter top, covered by ANTS. I also had one (also unopened) box of candy on the bed and the ants were under the box on the bed covers. I've never had an experience like that at ANY hotel. I wanted to say something at check out but there was only one person working the desk at 10am. Which seemed odd since check out time is 11am. I had to run to the airport so I couldn't wait another 10 minutes to make it known. Also - they said you could stream from your phone to your TV. When we arrived, that function was not working. They had to reset it overnight. When it did work, it was very stuttery, probably due to the very weak wi-fi. Also there was an item that was broken in the shower that we made them aware of the first night. They responded quickly that someone would fix it but it never was.

Very enjoyable stay, staff was very helpful, I was there for work and I felt like the access to the Riverwalk was perfect. We had a business meeting at the Contessa and the hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful for my team. The breakfast was great.

From the moment we pulled up, everything was amazing. Eddie was key to providing us with sites to see and check in was seamless. We got married on Marriage Island which was directly behind the hotel. Our stay was absolutely perfect. Can’t wait to revisit.

I cannot find anything bad to say about this hotel. From check-in to check-out everything was perfect. The room was bigger than we anticipated, but I think we had a accessible room in error. The hotel is right on the Riverwalk, with plenty of options to eat and within easy reach of the Alamo. Wouldn't hesitate to book this hotel again
