About the Hotel

Hotel Emma is a boutique luxury hotel set in the old San Antonio landmark building built in 1894, originally known as home to Pearl’s Brewhouse. Meticulously refurbished to maintain the charm, history, and mystique of the 19th century brewhouse, the now luxurious hotel, a part of the Legend collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, is an elegant retreat for all visitors. Quaint guest rooms merge together the industrial grit of the former brewery, the aesthetic of southern Texas warmth, and the elegance of a luxury boutique hotel. Premium amenities, attention to detail and spacious accommodations will ensure a memorable stay.

Locals in the city mix

We love Emma on so many levels. Tonight was on a local level. Pricey drinks, great atmosphere, collect service, sums it up. Great finale to a dining experience at the pearl, or event a stay cation. Every visit has ended on a high note. Come on a date or with friends.

Outstanding Staff

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

A stay at the Emma is a sublime experience! My husband and I try to visit Emma a couple of times during the year. Since we visit on a somewhat regular basis, we have gotten to know some of the staff. Two employees that we love seeing, are Jacob(front desk), and Cooper(welcome drink bartender). Unfortunately, we visited on Cooper's day off. We really missed Cooper(he's special), but David took very good care of us. It was a pleasure to meet him. Xavier and Wyatt were also excellent in Sternewirth. The staff is what really makes this place special. Management does an excellent job in hiring and retention. The Emma is a beautiful hotel that respects its history. The rooms are comfortable, spacious, and spotless. A stay at the Emma does not disappoint!

We had Lunch/brunch! It was a birthday celebration! The food was amazing! We all had different food items! Our waitress Valarie was awesome! The dessert was delicious! The resturant was clean! And we truly return to order the best chicken voted in SA!

Amazing 5 Star service from the moment you arrive. Very attentive staff, wonderful accommodations, great energy in the hotel lobby and bar, architecture is so unique. Personal fireplace on your own balcony is such a great touch for night caps and breakfast

In a class by themselves!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Simply put, the experience is not best in class, it is a class above. It starts at the valet stand and continues through every guest touchpoint. The staff are energetic, warm and take obvious pride in their duties. There are small touches everywhere but most impressive is the use of our surname by just about everyone we encountered during checking.
