Tabacon fun

What a beautiful spot! Nestled in the jungle but with all the amenities. The food is great and rooms are comfortable. The hot springs are a must to enjoy. Complimentary breakfast is delicious and staff so helpful. Christian was a favorite of ours! We would highly recommend a visit!

Great day activity

Got a day pass for the spa @nd river. It was great. Very well landscaped and the environment was great.Felt natural even though it was somewhat altered. Swim up bar was nice. Locker room was adequate. In and out privileges were good for us-as we stayed in La Fortuna at a fabulous house.

It’s paradise: rain or shine.

I booked three days here and wished I had booked at least 4. You might find the price tag high but you get a lot for your money here. It’s like having the services of a village at your disposal to care for your every need. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is off the charts and the staff will find the fussiest eater something they will love. I wish I had brought water shoes and a long sleeve bathing suit for the rainy days. These are all natural volcanic springs and you will encounter rocks and pebbles as you navigate all of them so the water shoes come in handy. It’s not always warm and it rains a lot so a long sleeved bathing suit and a light windbreaker with hood come in handy. Last my not least—the staff is well trained and professional starting with the manager, Cynthia and the concierge Paula. Bell hops like Steven made checkout so easy and most of the front desk are very warm and welcoming. I also enjoyed and yoga class and some time at the spa is a great bonus. For the nature lover—the gardens, birds, wildlife is amazing.

Relaxing oasis

Wonderful beginning to our recent trip to CR! We spent two afternoons at the Thermal pools in the Shangra la area. Wonderfully relaxing time. Breakfast and dinner were all delicious and the staff was welcoming and very friendly! Gracias Tabacon!

One of the best things to do in La Fortuna

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

We took the day pass so cannot comment on the hotel rooms. The day pass gave us access to the thermal pools and areas around it. They provided towels and lockers. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food was excellent. They do have a secure free parking lot across the road for day pass reservation holders so dont park on the street, just ask security to let you in.
