Overall, this stay over the President's week for us was a bit of a disappointment. The hotel seemed much older than what I had remembered it to be which was unfortunate. The beds were very uncomfortable and hard, the pillows were lumpy and heavy, all my kids kept saying, my children 8 and 10 years kept complaining about how they couldn't sleep and I do agree the beds were very hard, as well as the pillows and not comfortable to sleep on. The flooring on level 5 seemed wonky and have some water damage, it was as if the floor when walking on it was buckling. The room was dark and not enough lighting, kind of depressing. Bathroom is tiny, the sink is tiny and no countertop room for toiletries to lay the out. We were out much of the day, only returned a couple of times to freshen up and lay down after being out at the parks, beaches and eating, so we wanted to come back and enjoy a relaxing bed and that was not the outcome. I would not return back to this hotel for another stay. Only positive was the location of the hotel is ideal if you want to walk to places like Little Italy, Embarcadero or even explore the downtown area. Consider another hotel if you are looking for a more upscale or luxurious experience and nicer rooms.

I was here for a company event. It's a really nice hotel with great staff, that's not too stuffy. It's also got a great rooftop, and is in a great area of town! I got tacos and breakfast nearby and nothing bad happened. The room was comfortable and had good climate control. Everything was good enough for me!

Great experience. Convenient refreshment stations. Very friendly and professional staff. Clean, spacious, odorless rooms. Great scented soaps. A little confusing showers, but great water pressure and swift timing for hot/cold water. Comfortable beds and pillows.

Full disclosure I booked this hotel through Hotwire. I was on a business trip and wanted to stay near the convention center. I paid over $260 a night which isn’t necessarily that expensive for downtown San Diego. The walk to the convention center was not bad at all 8 to 10 minutes at most. Where the hotel is located is not in the best area. There was actually a hustler store down the street. The room itself was fairly nice but very small. I expected that with a boutique hotel. The restaurant attached the hotel was decent. My overall experience was not great. The air conditioner did not work. The TV did not work. The room was extremely loud. They actually included two sets of earplugs because of the noise. Street noise I can deal with however there is a rooftop bar on the hotel and they play music all night long that you can hear if you’re staying in the 10th floor. The last night I stayed there they had a party with a DJ and it was extremely loud. Pay the extra cash and stay in a hotel closer to the convention center.

Budget hotel within walking distance to GasLight district. Rooms next to elevator is loud from the mechanics non-stop use. Fridge in room malfunctioned and caused my very expensive diabetic injectable to freeze and rendered uses less. Rooftop restaurant served average food menu.
