San Diego Weekend Trip
We frequently visit San Diego and decided to stay at Alma on our most recent trip. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of Gaslamp. The property itself is modern and stylish, and our room was clean and spacious. The burger at the lobby bar was one of the best I’ve had. Anne, the front desk agent, was outstanding and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. We’ll definitely return on our next visit.

Rooms are OK. Area around Hotel is run down. Food & drink expensive. “Games” with invoices on checkout.
Hotel has just transitioned from IHG to Marriot. Check in was fine & rooms good as expected. There is an issue with homeless rough sleepers in the area that needs caution. Food & drink is expensive but area is surrounded by bars & restaurants. Only issue was that we wanted to query the bill on leaving as it was more than expected - desk said their printer was broken & they’d email it on. That didn’t happen. Marriot have been unable to find it. I’d leave time on check out & I would be difficult if you can’t get an itemised bill.

Great place for a meeting!
We held our annual team meeting at Alma San Diego and loved it! The location was great, the rooms were nice, but the team at Alma made everything so much better! From the initial sales process with Yesika, to the event team on site (Jessica, Alfredo, Mario) and the entire front desk staff we worked with, it was the most seamless meeting I've managed so far! Thank you for everything you all did!

Quick Business Trip
This is my second time at this property and I just have to say it is the best in terms of service from the employees! The hotel room is super nice and the bed is insanely comfortable! I love that they offer food and beverage credit and wine for guests that pay the amenity fee :) Lena the manager is amazing and deserves a raise. Her aura is awesome! I also love how walkable it is to everything.

Excellent hotel and restaurant
I love this hotel! I stay here all the time whenever I am in town. Beds and rooms are comfortable and clean. The restaurant is great too. Food is tasty and the service is excellent! I just had breakfast and Monette was incredibly charming and helpful. She has a cheerful and friendly personality which made my day. Thank you and I always look forward to my next visit.
