Beautiful location. Service was easily above average, everything we needed was immediately addressed, even above and beyond request. Great starting point for going north, south, and east. Need more next time to explore.

Best Staff!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

The resort and staff were so nice! Mrs. Pat was the absolute best! When I had trouble with my room, she went above and beyond to help accommodate me! She definitely deserves a raise and promotion! Thank you Mrs. Pat! 😁😁😁 The sceneries were fantastic, and I highly recommend doing a bonfire and hot tub!

The Good: The location is great. A short drive to anything you might want to do in San Diego. It’s fully self contained with activities and meal options available on site. Nice pools. Staff accommodating, attentive and responsive. Nice general ambience and views of the bay. The Not Good: the place needs some drastic deferred maintenance infusion and upgrades. Much of the place looks tired and a bit shabby. We stayed in the presidential suites-Both of them. We were a family of 8. And the “kitchens” was sorely lacking. Mismatched plates and not enough cups. Not enough and mismatched flatware all made the place feel subpar. The dishwasher was not connected to the cabinet so it kept dropping forward out of cabinet when you opened the door. The too small fridge was bigger than the cabinet opening so it sat cattywampus. The connected side extra room had the smallest toilet room/shower with a door that was so small you could barely walk in. The door could not open all the way open as there was a towel rack blocking. We had a decent time(the kids did not notice what we as adults did) but for sure not worth what we paid (over $8,000 for 3 nights!!) I expected more given that the reservation department touted how luxurious and grand both presidential suites were.

Beautiful setting but dirty room

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The atmosphere and grounds were really nice, although the pools could have used better upkeep and there seemed to be a shortage of towels even though the pool was mostly empty when we swam. Housekeeping is seriously lacking-our room looked like it had received a quick “surface clean” before we checked in and when we tried to request daily housekeeping, we were told they didn’t have any availability the second day of our stay. The baseboards, edges of the floor and walls were filthy. The toilet had cracked and rusty hardware and the shampoo/soap/conditioner holder was broken in the shower. Our shower drain didn’t function well and even after requesting maintenance to come, still would not drain properly. The beds were very uncomfortable and small! Advertised as a queen, but felt more like a full. Linens were very worn and scratchy. Definitely not worth the price or a “luxury” or “resort” like stay. We ended up leaving a night early.

Heavenly Winter Break at Paradise Point

We have been coming to Paradise Point as a family since 2001 when we had one child. Now we visit with four adult children. It’s the perfect staycation. We take advantage of the many resort activities and fabulous local restaurants, shopping and recreation. We will keep coming back!
