Lush landscape, numerous lily pad ponds and meandering nature paths set this resort location apart from ordinary San Diego hotel hi-rises. Perfect retreat for decompressing while enjoying stunning bay views. Swim, have fun ... a little slice of paradise for everyone!

The resort is beautiful. There were activities to sign up for. You can sit by any of the 5 pools and relax. It's amazing! The staff is so accommodating and friendly. Loved every minute if our stay.

I recently stayed at Paradise Point Island Resort in San Diego, expecting a seamless experience, but instead faced some of the worst customer service I’ve encountered. Upon arrival, despite my room being prepaid, I was told I needed to pay again. The front desk attendant went back and forth with her manager, Tara Harris, causing unnecessary delays. When Tara finally came out, her approach was not only unprofessional and dismissive but also frequently argumentative and combative. She repeatedly mentioned the “new computer system” as though it excused the inconvenience, acting as if this was somehow my issue to resolve. Despite my concerns, I received no apology, and Tara seemed indifferent to the problems caused by their mistake. It was late, and I had no choice but to pay for the room a second time, with no reassurance or solution from Tara. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, she suggested I email her, as if passing the issue off rather than addressing it. Her lack of empathy and combative stance added to an already frustrating experience. The room itself was disappointing, with a strong musty, moldy smell upon entering. Adding to the experience, Tara’s appearance was not appropriate for a leadership role, leaving an unprofessional impression on top of the service issues. I wouldn’t recommend staying here if customer care, professionalism, and a comfortable, well-managed stay are your priorities.

We booked this place because it looked like a beautiful, peaceful and semi-luxury resort stay that would be great for my husband, young child and myself (based on the photos and the price). Stupid me didn't look at the reviews. Unfortunately this place was memorable for all the wrong reasons. The pluses? The view is nice of the water and getting to walk along the beach is fantastic. The food is okay...slow service...but the Barefoot restaurant is fun for bird watching while you eat. Location is good and easy to get to everything we needed. The bungalow layout was nice for our purposes. The staff when you drive up that helps you with your bags and whatnot...top notch. Great guys. 1. Large, loud parties at bungalows on both sides of us Saturday night (NOT people from the public beach...but actual guests). There were probably 100 people between those two bungalows. Kids playing "ding dong ditch" knocking loudly on our door and running late into the evening waking up my 5 year old. No answer to any phone we could find to the resort when we tried. 2. The bed was VERY uncomfortable. Old, scratchy linens and mattress felt old, hard and we could feel all the springs. Terrible bed. My husband and I slept little and hurt in the morning (we are not old). HA! 3. The room wasn't super clean and there was sand on the floor when we got there and dusty, damaged baseboards. It was also extremely damp and musty in the room which running the air didn't seem to help. 4. The hot tub wasn't working on the afternoon I went to use it. Maybe 90 degrees. Couldn't find anyone to report it to so I just left and went back to my room. No staff seemed to be manning the pool area and there were discarded towels everywhere. Not a luxurious experience that you'd expect for the price of the stay. $40 a day resort fee...and the hot tub wasn't working. 5. Front desk was...to the point. Not very friendly. Also no one seems to answer the phone here. Honestly we were so disappointed we just got up and left on Sunday morning...when I should have come into the front desk and complained, but was so tired from the poor sleep it wasn't worth the effort in the moment. Response to me for the issues via email was basically... "sorry about that. We'll talk to our staff. Hopefully you like it better next time." At minimum they should have refunded our resort fee...but no. Nothing. We are not coming back to this place so there will be no next time. $1300 + another $300 for food later...and we had a miserable two nights here. You might as well just light some money on fire.

I had never felt so relaxed. The place is astonishing and the service is the best. I went to get a spa service and Marisa the masseuse went out of way to make me feel special. It was my birthday weekend and she senta little gift basket to my room. It definitely be my place to book every time
