Beautiful resort with a tiny fitness center

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

Overall this place is excellent. The rooms are really spacious, the property is quiet. It sits on a public beach and public parking is on the premises so some people felt slightly unsafe, but overall it is nice. The food is also excellent. The biggest downside that knocked it from 5 to 4 stars is the fitness center is really small compared to the size of the hotel so it was overly crowded with lines to use things.

We heart Paradise Point!

We love this resort. It's beautiful, and fun for all ages. Plenty to see and do, and you feel as if you're deep in the tropics while also being close to everything San Diego has to offer. A wonderful escape from cold weather in February! We're already planning to come back next year!

Low Budget

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

The rooms are filthy, the coffee machine has never been cleaned, there are cob webs in the shower. The patch work to previous holes in the wall is basic, the heater in the room is super loud. I was here for work, if this was a vacation I would have checked out and found another hotel. The best part of about the property is the grounds.

Best Birthday gift

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Spent the day with my family to celebrate my birthday. Staff were kind and more than helpful. Lorie, who checked us in at the front desk made my birthday special and memorable. There was a glitch with the air conditioning and heater. Maintenance came right away to fix the problem. Room was comfortable and clean. I would definitely recommend.

Beautiful resort

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

First time staying at this resort. The location was to the airport and other local attractions was great. It's a short Lyft/Uber to the airport, San Diego Zoo, downtown Ocean Beach. Accommodations were nice. Spacious rooms. Bathroom could use some updating. Enjoyed the single-story style rooms with patios. The food was good, not great and not terrible. Could use some improvement. The drinks at the bar were way too expensive. Stop at a store and stock up. Our fridge in the room froze our food and beverages, but maybe it just needed a temp change. The coffee pot wasn't great. Very cheap and took too long to heat up. They could upgrade those. Overall, it was a nice hotel/resort. We'd stay there again.
