About the Hotel
The Westgate Hotel is located minutes away from the airport and the San Diego Convention Center, just steps from the trolley/train station, and is readily accessible by freeway. Within walking distance is the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Opera, the Symphony, Horton Plaza shops and Gaslamp Quarter energy. Designed as a re-creation of an anteroom in the Palace of Versailles, the Grand Lobby is noted for its magnificent antiques, Baccarat crystal chandeliers, Flemish and French tapestries and Persian carpets. The Westgate is considered a one-of-a-kind hotel. Completed in 1970, it was filled with a certain timeless elegance that is considered not to be readily found anywhere else in the San Diego, California area.

Nice surprise
I had a Wonderful stay at the Westgate. King superior Beautiful room on the 16th floor. Incredibly Comfortable bed. Staff was friendly and attentive. Enjoyed the hot tub and rooftop bar. Best place for relaxing
Westgate is beautiful but this time we went there to use the services of AquaVie. What made our experience exceptional was the service. Sarah went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time at Aqua Vie. She took care of me and my friend that visited from New York. Will definitely go back.

Carolina was awesome! Amazing venue and overall great experience! Centrally located in a good spot of San Diego, it was definitely a good spot to stay at for business. The overall feel of a nice hotel, awesome staff, and amazing views from the room made this an easy decision.

Anniversary in San Diego
We were a little concerned about parking and how crowded the streets were downtown but we no longer worried about any of that once we arrived. Staff is very professional and friendly. We were gifted a bottle of wine at check in since they knew it was our anniversary. The hotel is very clean and well kept. It has a high class vintage decor. Spacious rooms, comfy beds, seating area, desk, big bathroom counter area and a nice shower/tub with a built in seat. Chocolates and a chilled lemon flavored sparkling water were a special touch. We are only on the first night of our stay and look forward to the remainder of our stay. Some reviews complained about the cost of parking but they are upfront about the cost. Our vehicle was kept in a well lit underground garage with someone working 24/7 to make sure our vehicle was safe and we could access it at any time. Very nice valet attendants.
